  1. Holmberg with a very encouraging first start. 5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 8 SO Moar plz.
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 09:18 PM) Flowers is 2-4 with a HR, his 15th. Danks is 2-4 with 1 K Morel is 0-2 with a BB. And the Flowers HR was of the inside the park variety.
  3. Saladino, Wilson, Rath, and O'Connell signings are officially listed now. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/team/trans...amp;team_id=145
  4. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 20, 2010 -> 07:27 PM) It sounds like we got a great deal on Sale. His agent also seems to believe he's on a fast track. http://www.baseballamerica.com/blog/draft/?p=2550 Yea. That is kind of odd. Possible big league bullpen this year and a chance to break camp as a starter next year? Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
  5. Morel playing SS again etc.
  6. QUOTE (Sockin @ Jun 17, 2010 -> 03:48 PM) Peavy says he'll start on Saturday. http://twitter.com/MDGonzales/statuses/16416710045 This doesn't make it sound completely certain: http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...ite-sox-gm.html
  7. More speculation here: http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...remain-tba.html
  8. Hudson called up? No idea how legitimate this site is, but that is what they are reporting. http://www.chicitysports.com/2010/06/17/hu...-in-pittsburgh/
  9. Tyler hits HR 13 on the year.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) I would imagine it would be Buddy Bell, but that is just a guess. There was an article during spring training in which both Kenny and Walker noted that adjustments needed to be made to Tyler's swing, with specifics being detailed by Walker. I would imagine that those are the adjustments he is referring to.
  11. Royse signs, will report to Great Falls. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...-white-sox.html
  12. Baseball America BaseballAmerica CWS #mlbdraft Day 2: Doesn't blow me away, but some good arms in Petricka (2nd), Reed (3rd), Royse (3rd supp), Grimes (4th) 2 minutes ago via HootSuite
  13. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 03:18 PM) Oney seems to think that Ozney wouldn't want to play for the Sox because they've taken so many guys in front of him. Can we please get this entire family away from the White Sox organization? +1
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 01:57 PM) I'm suprised that Zack Alvord is still on the board. There aren't many middle infielders with his kind of bat. Didn't he injure himself recently?
  15. Baseball America BaseballAmerica White Sox go for prep arm in 5th round, Georgia prep RHP Matthew Grimes, Ga. Tech recruit, may be tough sign, touches 94 mph #mlbdraft 1 minute ago via HootSuite
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 11:53 AM) Petricka is a top 50 talent who should sign for cheap. The reaction on here was like we just took a short pitcher from Southern Arkansas. No doubt. I'm not in love with the pick, but it isn't anything worth hating. I'll take it.
  17. Number 37 on Law's board, 40 on BA's.
  18. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 11:16 AM) That teams looks to be FINALLY headed in the right direction. No doubt. They should be fun to watch in the future.
  19. QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 11:01 AM) Boras client? Indeed.
  20. Kevin Goldstein Kevin_Goldstein Sources indicate that Stetson Allie's price tag is $3 million 6 minutes ago via TweetDeck
  21. Many publications are noting that the White Sox would indeed have taken Grandal if not popped by the Reds. They certainly would have had to go overslot with him. One wonders if the draft budget is noticeably higher this year. I can only hope.
  22. While I would love Allie/Wilson/Cole as many others, I don't think they are realistic picks for the Sox. Names I like: Workman, Eibner, Yordy, Eldemire, Golden, Bettis, Stanek, Solis, Smelter, and Cisco.
  23. Wasn't someone here high on Olt?
