I think that Getz is out there talking with GM's and agents about guys who can't play anymore, so that Getz can practice. Kinda like a kid who is just learning how to play the piano, and he's practicing the scales in front of his teacher. Everything is discordant.
So, we are signing over the hill infielders who can't hit, plus we are already stuck with Moncada. Are any of these guys better than Popeye or Ramos? Right now?
Yes. I wish Sox could have hired an experienced pro like Kapler for Asst GM, while Getz is still on his training wheels. Then, he would have been available when they fire Pedro.
What do you want for Cease, another slew of infielders who can't hit? They need pitching, period. Atlanta's top prospects are pitchers. Looks like a good fit to me.
Wow. Thanks. lots of great thrills from that team. I was in high school. Aparicio was an all-time favorite of mine. I just hated the day they traded him to Baltimore.
I'm glad he's gone. Seems to me that every time he was brought into a game in a reasonably high leverage situation, his first hitter was usually a lefty, and Bummer would quickly walk him. Then, he has to face the next two hitters.
