  1. Good question. I remember we had a pitcher 30 or so years ago who was done, and he just would not throw the ball. He just stood there until Mgr. came out. Can't remember the name. Jesse somebody. "You can't hit it if I don't pitch it."
  2. Our stupid manager thinks it's cool to let Clevinger get touched up for a few runs to keep his ERA up there.
  3. You got that right, Timmy. I remember when he was hanging around the Rocky club house when he was a little kid. Cutest kid ever. One look at his parents and you just knew he had a shot at whatever athletic choice he made. If the White Sox had drafted him, he would be an easy Number 1 Prospect.
  4. The Sale trade did not do him any favors.
  5. "If a horse can't chew it, I don't want to play on it."
  6. Disagree. I was here when Minoso arrived. Still a hero.
  7. A's should make a deal with Rockies and move to Denver, which can support both teams.
  8. He should at least call for a Press Conference where he takes no questions, but he has a bunch of questions written out for him with the answers also written out for him. He can read them to the journalists, and then leave.
  9. Elko continues to hit. Time to move him up?
  10. Vaughn is not the problem here. He will get better, and when he is a free agent, he will really get better.
  11. I wonder how many, if any, of these prospects are thinking, please don't draft me, White Sox.
  12. Clevinger was okay today. Not lights out, but okay. He gave up an extra run because of two amateur throws by Benny and Timmy. I don't know why you want him to take the loss. Lopez was on the mound for the 9th inning.
  13. Tatis was just a name when Hahn traded him, because he had not yet played in pro ball. The fact is, we had just given him a bonus of around $800,000. So, let's play him and see what we have. But, no, our dope gives him up for a guy who couldn't get anyone out as a Padre (Shields). I would love to have heard the conversation between Preller and our Dope. Then, Padres played him, and Law wrote him up. Law reportedly was shocked when he heard that our Dope included Tatis on that trade. For the record, I was, too, and made a brief comment to that effect on SoxTalk a day or two after the trade.
  14. Baseball doesn't seem to fire people mid-season like football.
  15. Hahn should have been fired and then thrown out of baseball after the Tatis fiasco. All the other nonsense is just icing on the proverbial cake.
  16. Sammy Peralta got lit up in his return.
  17. Both Madrigal and Tatis had big hits yesterday.
