  1. DeLoach made the throw, and it was a lousy throw. Almost air mailed the catcher. It's a normal throw for an outfielder, and he is in the majors and doesn't know how. High school kids can make that throw. I just don't get it. If I'm the manager I make him stay out there after the game and practice throwing home, with the whole team watching,
  2. He made another bad play last night to open the doors for first run against Crochet, although the plate ump had a lot to do with it,
  3. Cuz he had a good time in the 60 yard dash.
  4. The shorter the better. Burger is probably a better pitcher.
  5. I don't want to pile on the guy, but you're right; he is way late on fastballs.
  6. Where is Jacob Gonzalez?
  7. Speaks volumes. 1-11 sounds better.
  8. Correct. My point is they rushed Tulo, and it worked out fine. He came up from AA, bypassing AAA.
  9. I'm surprised he didn't use the bad starts and early injuries of key players as excuses. 3 starters went down very early, and Benintendi and Vaughn had horrible starts. Then there was Maldonado. I'm also surprised they won 33 games.
  10. Fast forward to Spring Training. Montgomery will be there as non-roster player. See how he does. If he looks like the best shortstop on the team, play him. 2025 is not rushing it for him. If he plays poorly in ST, send him back to Charlotte. I remember when Rockies brought up Tulo. They rushed him, but there was something about the kid; he just seemed to change the attitude of the whole team. Plus, he played well.
  11. Non-prospect Nishida had another 3 hits.
  12. I keep thinking of a scene in Moneyball, where Brad Pitt is faced with a room full of old-time scouts, all of whom disagreed with Pitt (Billy Beane).
  13. Paddy's last big signing was 3B Herrera, who had a tough year, to put it mildly. Does Herrera have any kind of future in Sox organization?
  14. One thing about Fletcher, he runs hard every time he grounds into a double play.
  15. Giving away Tatis for Shields and then hiring Tony were two deadly torpedo shots.
  16. We're watching history. I might be the only guy in Florida watching these guys on a regular basis. Oh, well. Next year we'll get to watch Vargas, Amaya, Baldwin, Fletcher, Benny, DeLoach, Lee, et al all season.
  17. The boys at PTI called Sox the worst professional team in any sport, ever.
  18. Vinnie would make the Sox all-opponent team.
  19. Flexen has more innings pitched than Crochet. 137 v 132.
  20. Okay, who is Hale Sims?
  21. What are the chances Flexen is on this team next year? He is arb eligible in 2025. Paid $1.75mm this year. Sox wouldn't, would they?
