  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 08:04 AM) ESPNStatsInfo ESPN Stats & Info Jose Bautista stole home Wed. Who was the last 40-HR player to steal home in the same season? #Elias; Answer: Adam Dunn in 2004 f*** our lives.
  2. He'll be well received in Florida with Ozzie if thats the case. His iron man s*** would be impressive, if he had pop or defensive skills.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 10:40 AM) Da Guy Who Makes The f***ing Line Ups "Fockin'" *
  4. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 8, 2011 -> 10:20 AM) The projected 2013 rotation is not something any of us should be comfortable with. If action isn't taken this offseason to strengthen it, the assets to fix it will have diminished significantly by the 2012 offseason. This is bafflingly stupid. So much can change over the course of one year. Hell, Peavy could return to full form, we could resign Danks or Buehrle, etc. The Yankees must be sweating bullets about their 2013 rotation.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 04:45 PM) I'm having a really hard time distinguishing who the hell is being sarcastic or not.
  6. QUOTE (Marty34 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 04:30 PM) Forget about the offense, it's the pitching staff that needs to be rebuilt ASAP. Whatever tradable assets they have should be focused on the staff.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 01:29 AM) I challenge somebody to start a thread congratulating Juan. He gets severe hate on here for some reason. Juan is a pro's pro. Congrats on 2,000. Tomorrow when he gets them, I'll make one for the Juan Dog.
  8. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 12:54 AM) Does anyone else absolutely hate first person games? I play Elder Scrolls/Fallout 3 in third person unless fighting. Other than that and the first Resistance, not a big fan of FPSs. Also, my graphics card was burnt up, so Gopher Mods isn't charging me, despite their fix of the YLOD. The problem is now I have to back up the data blind, unless I can set up the Remote Play blind. Worth a try on Friday.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 12:17 AM) Thanks, Bruce Willis. At least DeAza is earning his playing time (HOPEFULLY) for 2012. Nah. that'd be yipee-ky-ay-motherf***er. De Aza should be LF and leadoff next year.
  10. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 7, 2011 -> 12:38 AM) Yes, they are most definitely that good. Best team in baseball, IMO. Their rotation is every bit as good, if not better (Vance Worley?), then advertised. Hunter Pence has reshaped that entire lineup. I don't have any numbers in front of me. But I'm comfortable in saying their offensive production has improved across the board since his trade there. Their only 'weakness' (and this is nitpicking) might be the bullpen. It's not as deep as the Braves or Rangers. Madson and Bastardo have been lights-out. It's questionable somewhat after that. Then again, with baseball's goofy ass playoff scheduling, combined with normal travel off days, they can stick Oswalt and Worley in there and it looks a lot deeper. Then just let Halladay, Lee and Hamels take it from there. I can't believe I just typed that. Halladay, Lee, Hamels. Good god. I need a drink. And thats without Oswalt.
  11. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 11:23 PM) Some saves are padded. Me might have decent stuff but not the brain to match it. The best strikeout pitch and the game and a powerful fastball are "decent"?
  12. Added Santiago for Caulfield.
  13. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 06:46 PM) As for Sale being a starter, don't they have to stretch him out? How is that going to happen? It should have been done this year. I'm not ready to crown Santos the closer. He's showing signs of being a mental midget. ...? Because of the Tigers game? There have been plenty of times when he's come right at Miggy. He just lost that match.
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Sep 6, 2011 -> 04:18 PM) I don't see them trading both Floyd and Danks. Well, I see Buehrle - Stewart - Sale all in the rotation next year. So that means 2 spots for 5 guys. Floyd, Danks, or Humber could be traded. I believe 2 of them will. Peavy could be moved to the bullpen, but I doubt it. Axelrod is just insurance.
  15. Something tells me the rotation next year will be Buehrle - Peavy - Sale - Stewart - Humber, because trading Danks and Floyd would get us some nice rebuilding chips.
  16. I say Valencia, since Mark got his still.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 5, 2011 -> 09:40 PM) See ... Gardy is no good. Ozzie is no good. All managers suck. Soxtalk won't ever be happy with the skipper. How the hell could it be?? Think logically. Do you guys honestly believe in 2011, in a day and age of all these advanced stats that you guys are going to be happy with ANY manager? Gardy stinks. We know Leland stinks after the past years with their high payroll. They all stink. What manager is going to pass the Soxtalk test after a month????? You tell me. I say with utter confidence NONE One who doesn't suck at his job.
  18. Seriously though, I want Sale & Stewart both in the rotation next year.
