  1. My wife loves Alex Caruso because of some cheesy Zenni ad he did with Coby. Then she just enjoyed his constant defensive energy and goofy dynamic on the court. She picked the perfect favorite player.
  2. DeMar with the ultimate f*** up. Bailed out by Caruso who is the glue guy to end all glue guys.
  3. The Baseball United League.
  4. God, I can't fucking wait for the Eder vs. Burger at-bat.
  5. Maybe he was a baseball guy suppressed by sabermetrics nerd Phil Nevin.
  6. Let's see what Angels fans are saying: Bonus input from Royals fans:
  7. They 100% should have gotten multiple prospects for Burger if they were going to trade him during a breakout season where, but Kenny clearly wanted him gone. But half of this board seems to now have a personal vendetta against Jake Eder, just like there used to be disgusting posts against Jake Burger.
  8. Jake Burger update... It's truly amazing that injured players sometimes improve, but here we are in the Jake Eder Is Trash And I Knew It All Along Thread #86
  9. Hiring Bochy was definitely not an unpopular stance in 2020 or 2022. In 2020, people fell into three camps: Hinch, Bochy or Ozzie In 2022: Espada, Bochy or Ozzie A lot people were fine with Espada/Hinch or Bochy.
  10. Honestly, the 2020 Sox are a good comp to the Dbacks - 2 top of the rotation pitchers - ROY caliber OF (Robert's falter down the stretch hurt him) - Young talent coming onto the scene And don't forget: Moncada was a #1 prospect. Eloy was highly ranked. Vaughn was. Cease had talent. Crochet came in throwing fire. Then they make the playoffs as a WC. They just didn't catch fire. (Obviously this is super reductionist and it isn't a 1 for 1 comparison)
  11. That's the Angels though The Phillies have a pennant and NLCS berth in back to back years
  12. No our plan is to hire him as pitching coach because this is how we find pitching coaches
  13. Bulls are likely gonna be not good / middling, but I'm gonna root for them anyway. Hopefully a developing Coby (he is still young after all) and Carter can help organize things.
  14. Is this some luminary observation that spending money is a bad move?
  15. Anyway, Mad Dog has to retire now.
  16. Gonna leave it on the line with Jake Cave?
  17. I mean, a half billion is Harper/Machado. If fictional Reinsdorf is busting open they add Wheeler as well but who knows.
  18. I wouldn't worry about this until/if Saudi Arabia gets involved. A former Sox farmhand was the 1-1 pick after maxing out at AA (really Winston-Salem), no doubt in part due to his Indian ancestry. Courtney Hawkins was obliterating Indy Ball. The NBP humbled him. I doubt this league gets big, young talent for a long time.
  19. If you want to feel a little better, go check out the zone that @Autumn Dreamin posted from his last AFL start, where he had 4 Ks in 2.1 innings pitched. It will then make you really upset that the zones AD posted were called walks.
  20. There were video clips of some of them holding jerseys, so they'll probably make at least token appearances. I'm ready for the Courtney Hawkins blast off of a 50-year-old roided up Bartolo Colon. He then strikes out every other single at-bat.
  21. Well, this will be a fun follow. Former Sox farmhand Karan Patel was taken 1-1 for the Mumbai Cobras: Andre Rienzo got drafted: Courtney Hawkins: ADA: Then a slew of former major leaguers: Not in the above:
