QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 12:48 PM) QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 12:49 PM) As in the Yankees would never trade Montero? I don't think anybody in their system is off limits with their starting pitching situation. Nothing will happen this year (unless the Sox really stink up the joint). If KW could get Montero and one of Betances/Banuelos (and I would accept no less for a pitcher of Danks' caliber), I'd praise him like I do Cargo. That's what I want if I have to give up John Danks. QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 01:04 PM) I love answers like these. It really helps create more discussion. No.

QUOTE (almagest @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 11:45 AM) Yes. Yes we could. And we'd be the only franchise to trade players, and fire the entire coaching staff after a 3 game losing streak. Bada-boom-bada-bing.

Official SoxTalk Favorite Chicago Radio Shows

Laurence Holmes, especially the peoples hour. Then B&B. It's just captivating. Danny Mac is next. Then Waddle & Silvy. I only use ESPN 1000 for Bulls games. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 22, 2011 -> 06:35 AM) Wait, what? Show me a post where I declared the season over. Yeah, I've been critical. But never have I deemed the season over. BOS waited until Hudson had one bad start to create this thread. Basically with the intention to mock those that weren't in favor of the Hudson/Jackson trade. Should I start a thread the next time Jackson gives up 5-6 runs in 4 innings? lol. I'm glad somebody notices this. I haven't been nearly as bad as Milkman, Sqwert and others. s***, greg has been worse. Though I will release my rage (in a clean way, of course) if a month from now we're sitting at 3-5 games below .500 or worse. That's your misconception. Don't put that on me. And it's not about me "liking" Hudson or not. I've been consistent from day one (though I will concede that I obsess) with my stance on the trade from the moment it went down. Google the thread if you don't believe me. Damn straight you're consistent, thats why this thread is blatantly a thread to bait you out into this. Also, no s*** you've been one of the more optimistic ones lately, I've been avoiding Pale Hose Talk it's become so overwhelmingly negative. At least when you're negative its got logical reason behind it.

I'VE NEVER BEEN THIS HAPPY!

QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 21, 2011 -> 11:12 PM) Jack is a s*** character, I don't care about her. The only reason I bothered to keep her loyalty was for the achievement on the last mission. Same here. I only want her and Zaeed's loyalty for the achievement and their unique powers, but damn they both piss me off.

Can we impose a ban on Daniel Hudson threads until after free agency this year? We all literally know the ensuing pointless bloodbaths that follow.
-
Oh damn. Looks like a relocation.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 03:50 AM) Pretty sure you can't at that stage. My advice would be to do a re-load before that happens, do other missions to build your paragon up, and then you should be able to choose the paragon response when you get to that confrontation. Otherwise, you won't be able to save whichever one isn't loyal to you for the final mission. Decided I'm gonna do this.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 08:04 AM) Blocks are a terrible way to measure defense. Getting beat to the basket and swating someone from behind doesn't make you a good defender. Yes, but that seems to be why LeBron is regarded as a godly defender, because of his highlight blocks.
-
So, going through Mass Effect 2, just got to the Jack/Miranda fight. Sided with Miranda, lost Jack's loyalty. I got 4 of the 5 Paragon bars filled up...how can I get Jack's loyalty back?

QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Apr 20, 2011 -> 12:32 AM) Looks like Rose had a higher defensive win share than Paul this year and equal points allowed per 100 possessions. I don't know enough about basketball metrics to evaluate that, but there it is. As for the Paul/Rose debate, Rose is my #1 with a close Paul, when he's healthy. What's worse is when Rondo gets brought into these debates. It's Rose vs. Paul, with Williams getting the bronze. Then let Westbrook and Nash duke it out for 4th.
-
I'd like to point out Rose has more blocks than James and more offensive rebounds. Rose is good as a defender.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 18, 2011 -> 12:39 AM) K. Changed it.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 09:55 PM) ...And? Wall has improved alot since high school and his b-ball I.Q. is off the charts. This dude averaged 16-5-8 as a rookie. I would think you'd give him a summer to see if he can improve his weaknesses before he's pegged another player with no drive. The and is because he seems to me to be mostly flash with little fire, since college, which includes his stupid John Wall dance. He just makes me think of a guy who's all party because he reached the NBA and being with McGee, Blatche and Young doesn't help. Also, I want to see what he averages on a good team. His assists probably go up while rebounds and points go down. Rose has an absolutely unnatural drive compared to him, I mean the guy misses one free throw against the Clippers, albeit to win the game, but then becomes nearly automatic from the free throw line. That's not even talking about the other facets of the game he improves.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 11:22 PM) Catch all item: Who puts the little funny comment under our names. Mine is ad nauseum which is starting to make me nauseous. Can't I change it to Rock Star or something? Come on greg. You need to change it. To something That isn't as cliche as Rock star.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 09:10 PM) Well, maybe next year or in two years we'll see some John Wall/Derrick Rose trade proposals. Wall is up and comming whereas Rose is older with much more mileage on his body. Yeah, but Rose has insane drive while John Wall dougies before games. And its not Chris Paul's age, though that is a factor, its the fact that for a lot of the season he had a monstrosity attached to his knee.

QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 06:28 PM) A second basketball team would fail in Chicago. A second NFL team with nicer facilities and decent prices might succeed though. A second NFL team that won a bit would succeed. This city can only deal with Lovie/Angelo/McCaskeys for so long A second basketball team would fail, hence why I said "inexplicably".

QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 08:43 PM) Personally, I'm blaming Adam Dunn for this. His cavalier attitude defensively has clearly impacted Alexei and Morel on the left side of the infield. Maybe if we had a true leader at DH, he'd be more concerned with pumping up his teammates to pick it up on the defensive end. I think this is pretty well documented in his team's struggles throughout his career. Felix, you're a badass.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 15, 2011 -> 11:35 PM) Jesus Christ in a dump truck. This will be what I say from now on when Dunn hits a home run. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 16, 2011 -> 12:05 AM) Felix is straight owning you fools. This, Felix has gotta be trollin'. Really well to, this thread has me laughing hysterically.
