  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 28, 2011 -> 09:19 PM) Damn. Love it for the Cavs and Wolves. I know the prize for the Pistons is dumping Rip. Its a win-win for the Cavs and Wolves. Kanter is just what the Wolves need, and Irving-Williams is what the Cavs need. Irving-Williams-Hickson isn't a bad core to build with.
  2. Gilbert is trying to go crazy. Cavs/Pistons/TWolves Pistons trade Rip and the 8th to Cavs for a 2nd Rounder Cavs buyout Rip, trade 8th and 4th to TWolves for 2nd Overall and 2nd Rounder. Cavs get Irving-Williams and TWolves can snag Kanter to play alongside Love/Johnson/Beasley
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 28, 2011 -> 11:02 AM) The Sox did offer Maggs a significant contract, and Borass even spun that into an evil thing because they offered it to him after he was injured. The Sox didn't get outmanuevered, Maggs and his agent are lying pieces of s*** who ran every con in the book, including sneaking Maggs into Europe to have a secret surgery without telling anyone, and then refusing to give the Sox the medical records to go with them. I'm not sure what you are remembering, but it is all wrong. Bada-boom QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 28, 2011 -> 11:25 AM) For all the Sox knew, the "Surgery in Europe" could have involved shooting him full of a bunch of substances that were illegal in the U.S. too. Especially now that we're seeing more and more of these "HGH injection in addition to surgery" moves. Bada-bing.
  4. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 28, 2011 -> 10:19 AM) Another big game for Marrero. He's been in the org for a long time and not on the 40 man. Some team will claim him if we don't move him up. Move him to Charlotte at least.
  5. Also, after thinking about it, Scottie is dead to me. Absolutely dead.
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 27, 2011 -> 11:43 PM) And then 10% of those first rounders who actually make the Majors do anything worthwhile. And 5% are worthwhile. But f*** that, track records be damned.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 27, 2011 -> 11:11 PM) Pena has talent? He's awful basically every other outing. And he's been that way a while. I get the feeling he'd suck even in the minor leagues. Some guys just can't get people out. He's one of them. Yes, he has talent. Using said talent? No, he's not doing that.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 27, 2011 -> 10:59 PM) Randy Williams is angry that you've forgotten him. Randy Williams could do nothing but fail, Pena actually has some talent.
  9. QUOTE (oldsox @ May 27, 2011 -> 10:46 PM) i have commented before on my thoughts about Kenny giving up a number one pick for Dunn. Beyond stupid. Then I remember. when Mags left, his agent out maneuvered Kenny so that we did not get a draft pick from Tigers. Or was it two picks? If by "outmaneuver" you mean "Not offer Maggs a contract that there was a risk he would take and we'd have him and his knees instead of JD in the OF for 2005"
  10. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 27, 2011 -> 02:39 AM) My first guess is $30, but I'll go Froogle it.... http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=H...llers#scoring=p So, $20-$30 range. If I were you, I would just rent it. It's not a long game (unless you shoot for all 17 endings, of course). It's about an 8 hour game if you don't go back and retry certain events like I did. For a normal person, you could complete the game in 3-4 days. And if you sign up for Blockbusters video game version of Netflix, you can get 2 weeks for free, like I am currently doing! Hope to swap this for AC: Brotherhood and complete that so I don't have to buy it. I alreadt beat it, but it waa fantastic enough I wouldn't mind multiple play throughs
  11. QUOTE (sircaffey @ May 27, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) Who else was in on Boozer during FA last year? New jersey was the biggest, but he had a few other offers
  12. E-Jax would be my vote...but why not keep the sixman then trade Danks or Jackson at the deadline, depending on our standings
  13. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 27, 2011 -> 11:23 AM) Getting rid of the Kings and Hornets should absolutely happen given their ownership situations. You could easily make a case for Charlotte too, or Memphis and Indiana if you stretched it a bit (though those two teams seem to be headed in the right direction). The only problem with that is it would give the NBA a chance to rig a contraction draft and put Chris Paul in either New York or LA. The Twolves would get Paul and promptly trade him to Miani
  14. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ May 27, 2011 -> 10:49 AM) This was a rather long post for something that has about as much chance of happening as me starting at SG for the Bulls next year. I said pipe dream
  15. Chicago Gets: Iguodala, Howard Phoenix Gets: Brewer, Boozer, $3M (Bulls) Magic Get: Asik, Gibson, Songalia, Watson, Lucas, Pargo, Bobcats Pick, Both Bulls 1st Rounders, Second Rounder, $3M (Bulls) Philly Gets: Carter, Redick, Second Rounder (Via Phoenix), $3M (Bulls), Future Bulls First, Future Second Rounder (Bulls) Why Chicago: Team becomes Rose-Iguodala-Deng-Noah-Howard-Watson-Korver-Bogans. Resign Kurt and Rasual for the bench.. The starting five has two ball handlers, 3 guys who are OK to Good from 3pt, a rebounding monstrosity, a center with some post moves, and Noah to get clean up points/hit the Tornado. Also, that starting fives defense would be like the Bench Mob's on crack. Why Phoenix: Get an athletic SG to put next to Nash and a PF not named Warrick for Nash to toy with if they feel like they can make one last run at the West. $3M for the pick. Why Magic: Getting two, young, cheap defensive studs in Asik and Gibson, along with expiring contracts which clear up payroll (which Orlando desperately needs), 3 first rounders and a second rounder to help build again, and $3M to help with cap more. Why Philly: Get a huge expiring in Carter, allow Turner to be the man in Philly with AI2 gone, get a shooter for Turner to use in Redick, a pick, $3M in cash, and of course picks. Damnit GarPax, get this fantastical pipe dream done.
  16. http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...dream-come-true This makes me happy.
  17. QUOTE (Real @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:42 AM) Next year rose will average 28/10, you can book it I wouldn't be surprised if it was 29/12, he is legitimately embarassed at how his team went out in this series, he's gonna bust his ass at getting better i know this isn't what a lot of people want to hear right now (understandbly so), but the bulls are gonna be awesome next year By the way Real, I'm definitely apologizing to you now that I'm more level headed. But still, that Rios' arm thread last year will always be in my mind.
  18. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ May 26, 2011 -> 12:14 AM) Holy s*** Heavy Rain is addictive. Been playing for over 7 hours straight now......lol. What's its price now? I always said I would go back and buy it when it was $20, so I could have it in a nice collection.
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:33 AM) Howard? Be quiet. Can't mess with team chemistry. Chemistry be damned, trade Lucas. His inability to make FT's spread.
  20. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 27, 2011 -> 12:04 AM) Maybe because I never believed in the Bears this season or because I hate this Miami team at least 20,000 times more than I hate the Packers, but this is so much worse. This. Bulls need to get Iguodala or Howard. f*** it. Get both. I'm sure its possible.
  21. QUOTE (Nokona @ May 26, 2011 -> 11:46 PM) The NBA is the worst league in sports. Can anyone honestly say they didn't see what was coming after the T on Gibson? That may have been the worse call I've ever seen. Saying WOW and walking away from the refs earns a T nowadays? LeBron should be ejected from the league. So should Wade. So should Dwight. So should Boozer. So should a goddamn majority of the league.
  22. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 26, 2011 -> 11:05 PM) I'd love to see Cuban get a title. That f***er loves the Mavericks. My only solace is that after the Bulls, my favorite teams are Phoenix and Dallas, so I'm all Mavs this series, even if it were a non-Heat or Bulls Eastern team.
