  1. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 29, 2011 -> 04:21 PM) I was interested to see if this version as better than the one who beat the Bulls by 30 earlier, and I was correct it wasn't. The other team with Lewis and Carter simply gave the Bulls fits with their perimiter shooting, tough match-up in length, and overall quickness than guys like J-Rich and Arenas.. Doesn't mean they are better players, it was simply just the match-up. I never wanted to play the Magic before just because of those those two and what a nightmare they are playing against us and of course you got that Howard guy thrown in. I see you're Ace again. Just observation. I used to dread watching games vs. the Magic, but I thought the trade made them worse against the Bulls and it seems I was right.
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 29, 2011 -> 10:21 AM) Ok, I actually got angry when I read your post. Oops. Come on Balta, you should know I'm a ridiculous homer. With an actual SG, I could see the Bulls surge to #1 in the East if Miami's injuries linger and Boston slows down.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 29, 2011 -> 09:51 AM) How do you come to this after a win? Should have used green font. I was quoting Dbaho earlier in the thread, because the Bulls are currently top 2 in the East.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 06:20 PM) They're not gonna be the same thing, obviously. Wasn't there a Sony NBA Game a few years ago where you could move your franchise team back and forth from PS3 to PSP? That would be sick for sports games, though they'd have to do a bundle deal like Joe said.
  5. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jan 27, 2011 -> 01:14 PM) Rawr. Goddamn I'm excited for that.
  6. If only the Yankees had signed Bobby instead of the Sawks.
  7. http://www.sportspickle.com/picture/4917/2...prove-his-image Wow. Just...wow.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 17, 2011 -> 07:51 PM) When he is healthy, he has a fastball that can touch 100 and a killer slider, so he absolutely has the stuff to be a closer. Whether he actually has that this year or in the future is a completely different story. This isn't like talking about a 38 year old Greg Maddux though, this is still a guy who turned 25 in September who can easily find his stuff again. Right now, it doesn't make sense for the Sox, but if it were a buy low type of scenario, I could see the Sox being all over it. I swear to god I thought we were talking about E-Jax right there.
  9. QUOTE (Cali @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 07:54 PM) Jeter may move to the outfield in the next few season, where he will most likely continue to win gold gloves.... Jeter will win the GG at pitcher when he DHs.
  10. QUOTE (flavum @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 12:13 PM) Your 2011 White Sox numbers: 1- Pierre 3- Baines 8- Cox 10- Ramirez 11- Vizquel 12- Pierzynski 13- Guillen 14- Konerko 15- Beckham 17- Flowers 18- Lillibridge 20- Quentin 21- Cooper 22- Morel 23- Teahen 24- Viciedo 26- Crain 27- Castro 28- Cora 29- Walker 30- De Aza 31- Ohman 32- Dunn 33- Jackson 34- Floyd 36- Nieves 37- Thornton 38- Gartrell 40- Bruney 41- Humber 44- Peavy 45- McPherson 46- Santos 47- Infante 48- Marquez 49- Sale 50- Danks 51- Rios 52- Kinney 53- Dolsi 54- Nunez 55- Lucy 56- Buehrle 57- Pena 58- Harrell 59- Salas 60- Gray 61- Hynick 62- Escobar 63- Cofield 64- Carter 65- Jones 66- Lindsay 67- Danks 68- Socolovich 70- Bellamy 71- Leesman 74- Price 75- Phegley 76- Short No Charlie! Not the cursed number!
  11. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 08:30 PM) Yeah he went from under the radar to overrated. +1
  12. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:22 AM) No, Viciedo has no chance of overtaking Juan Pierre for left field, and no, he is not going to take over Teahen's job, and I strongly doubt that he will be on the opening day roster, though that is at least plausible. Most indications are that Viciedo is nowhere close to being capable defensively in the outfield, and he's not going to suddenly be capable through Spring Training. He needs tons of live action in the outfield, so that is what he will get in AAA this year. If a bat is needed at some point during the season, as opposed to a mere live body who can play a few positions, he will probably be the first called up. As of right now, the White Sox want to get Viciedo's bat into the lineup, but they have all 3 spots that he is capable of playing locked up for 3 years at the very minimum. The best way to get his bat into play is to put him in the outfield. He has to be able to play the outfield before he can be an outfielder. Exactly. If Viciedo replaces anyone on this roster, it will be Quentin if he performs badly again.
  13. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 01:29 AM) Excellent article http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/writ...d=twitter_share No kidding. That article is gold.
  14. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 11:29 PM) Yet murder a few dogs, and lay on a few screaming women, shoot up a nightclub and you are okay. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 11:31 PM) But enough about Oney He makes a good point. Jay's not warm and cuddly, but unlike Vick and Rothelisberger and Favre he's done nothing horrifying off the field, yet I guarantee they are more loved. Plus, Clay Matthews is an arrogant jackass. Seriously.
  15. Bulls are good. Makes Bears' loss easier knowing we have Rose and Noah on the other side of town.
  16. QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 10:32 PM) Cutler has been sacked and beaten up for 2 years, yet I've never heard him say anything negative about his line's peformance. He has receivers (mainly Knox and Hester) who frequently give up on balls and don't break up poor throws, but he doesn't lash out at them like Marino, Rivers, and PManning have done. And, yet, he's got a rep as a bad teammate. I don't get it. He left the game today and stayed on the sideline injured. That doesn't mean his knee was stable enough to plant for throws. He wasn't pouting. When they showed him on the bike on the sidelines, it's not like he was doing his best Lance Armstrong impression. He was peddling slowly, and he problably didn't show enough strength and range of motion to go back into the game. When Taylor scored, they showed him smile and cheer. When Hainie was on the bench, Cutler was next to him going over plays. Is that being a bad teammate? All the guys who tweeted about him quitting are pathetic and they really should know better. MJD didn't play his last few games this year while his team was fighting for a playoff spot. Should his toughness be questioned? Lance Moore missed 9 games in '09 while his team was having their best season ever. This season, he's part of the team that was eliminated by the worst team in playoff history. Is his coomitment to winning up for debate? Deion Sanders never met a player on the football field that he wasn't afraid to hit. I guess there's no debate there. Once a loudmouth, always a loudmouth. Yet they question Cutler's toughness and commitment. This is kind of like the David Wells - Frank Thomas thing. What tools. Need attention much? Beauty.
  17. QUOTE (fathom @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 07:43 PM) Wow! http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl-311321 Wow. Seriously, they need to back off.
  18. QUOTE (GREEDY @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 05:55 PM) I am sick and tired of seeing this organization trying to force players into defensive positions where below average is the best case scenario/goal. Dayan is a First Basemen or a DH. He will be only 25 when Paulie's deal is up. He can play 1B then if he is bad in RF.
  19. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 05:18 PM) No he doesnt. Why cant you bears fans accept a good defense being in the right position? The D was. But there was a hole and why not give it to Hester/Taylor/Forte?
  20. Martz deserves to be fired for that 3rd and 3 alone.
