  1. This is actually a phenomenal nickname for a pitcher
  2. As a fan of "dream big" I do love the idea of Jac Caglianone if scouts even remotely think he can remain a two-way player. Harold spotlighted Brody Brecht, who MLB has the Sox taking in their way-too-early mock draft. Reports on both from MLB: Jac Brecht
  3. For real. One or two picks higher in 2018 and we get Adley or Witt Jr.
  4. The only silver lining is that Getz now has zero excuses to make tank moves. The org will still try to sell it as a transition year, but without the ability to be in the mix for Ethan Holliday, it's a lot harder sell.
  5. See, I keep envisioning a scenario where if they miss out this year, they can still miss out next year. So... please don't suck. Just get a good bonus pool.
  6. No particular order, as as a 31 year old, keeping it to players only. - Yonder Alonso - Hanser Alberto - Adam LaRoche - James Shields - Nick Swisher - Brett Myers - Dallas Keuchel - Omar Vizquel - Adam Eaton, solely because he called a 13-year-old a leader - Mark Kotsay, because it was Ozzie's stupid love of him that led to Thome having a 1.000+ ops for the Twins and obliterating a walk -off against Thornton, helping kill the team's playoff hopes.
  7. Since 2002, the OD starters have been: Buehrle, Contreras, Sale, Samardzija, Quintana, Shields, Giolito, and Cease. And now Touki.
  8. It's basically something like: If the Orioles are prospect hugging for Cease, do you think they'd be willing to meet Robert's price (Holiday++). You're asking for a team's top prospects and probably a young MLB piece. The cost of Robert with four years of affordable control should be squeezing blood from a stone.
  9. Yeah, the Mets are one of the few teams that I think can use the term "retool" with a straight face. The White Sox...no. Meanwhile, I resolve all judgement on Fedde until I get an @Eminor3rd scouting report.
  10. The fun thing about these Cease threads is that we're gonna have people eating crow regardless of return.
  11. I feel like I need to share this video which outlines the defense failing Cease against the Dodgers:
  12. I can't remember if you were the conductor of the Gavin Sheets train once upon a time, but he strikes out far less, has a higher HR%, goes opposite field about the same, and, hilariously, hits the ball .1 MPH harder than Kelenic. Sure, he can't field and last year he put up 2021-2022 Kelenic-esque numbers, but at least he doesn't break his foot being an angry boy.
  13. Do you think Mariners fans ever saw this site and went "why the f*** are Sox fans so obsessed with our outfielder that hit under .200 two years in a row and strikes out in a third of his at-bats?"
  14. That, or they're all shitting themselves again.
  15. The 1962 Mets It's fun cause they were led by a HoF manager fired by the Yankees because of his age. And we have TLR still floating around.
  16. Good thing we got rid of the people in charge of that!
  17. This is like hoping you can catch lightning in one of those 3 oz. containers they let you bring on planes
  18. In the mid-90s? Dude's great at radio, but people can also develop new skills over the course of nearly three decades.
  19. "The White Sox are changing their ways" Flashback to Manny Ramirez, Jimmy Rollins, Andruw Jones, Justin Morneau (truly unforgivable), Ken Griffey Jr. (Griffey was good! But he fit the MO), Edwin Encarnacion, Kevin Youkilis, Jose Canseco
