R. Soriano, Fielder, Kemp mentioned in connection w/ Sox
Quin replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I want all 3 + Kong. But in reality, I see none of those happening. Soriano would cost a pick while being insanely expensive, we don't have the bullets for Fielder without Hudson (who Milwaukee wouldn't take until he was in the NL anyway), and Kemp is a right handed, bad defensive right fielder, which I hope we try to get away from. -
Hooray for the Celtics.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 23, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) It's not like Roy Halladay did like s***. Yes, but Lee-Halladay-Oswalt-Hamels would have been beyond lethal. For starters, Joe Blanton doesn't start a game. Also, Brian Wilson is awesome.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 23, 2010 -> 10:51 PM) So the Heat signed Stackhouse? WTF? NM. I guess Mike Miller is going to be out until possible January? So I guess this is just a stop-gap until he's healthy. I don't see what the hell Stackhouse offers to this team. I was about to answer it, then you answered it. The Heat are becoming fascinating with their old bench.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 23, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) True. Though we get our first real look at Dominic Brown next year. And they've still got a really good system. I hope we don't have to hear s*** about Cliff Lee. The Phillies simply didn't hit like they have in the past. Still, with the way Lee is going this post season, i's hard to say that trade wasn't bad.

My school (as of next year) is making Oklahoma sweat. -
Ugh....ESPN literally just said "It's so hard for Brian Cashman to make these decisions" in reference to getting Crawford or Lee. Yea, so ****ing hard.
-
A-Rod looking. Beautiful.

Based off previous years attendance: The Miami Heat. Ok, but in all seriousness I'd assume the Raptors and Grizzlies are sure things, Clippers, Kings, Bobcats, Nets, Hornets, Timberwolves are all on the short list.

My computer can't run games real well. Last game I bought for a PC that was a high end game was Oblivion...dropped $80 on it and it's expansions...to realize it couldn't work with my PC. I've stayed away since then.

I feel bad for Phegley. Mitchell is doing fine considering the rust.

Alexei's gonna get the SS. He deserves to be a GG/SS though, stupid Jeter.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 20, 2010 -> 04:32 PM) Can you download games on to your hard drive on PS3? It's been required for most games since day 1. The Fallouts and Oblivion. I had huge glitches in both Fallout 3 and Oblivion, I'm hoping to avoid them in New Vegas.

His body is saying "f*** you."

If Buehrle is traded, his contract becomes 19 million per year, everyone overlooks this. But, if he were in the NL, he'd be the best #2 pitcher in baseball.

Happy birthday Ace! :headbang You better have had a good one.

Which Sox home grown talent will have the best career with the Sox?
Quin replied to Quin's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 12:48 AM) With the remarkable amount of time Beckham spent wallowing in the farm he should be disqualified. Beckham is a product of Georgia. Or Beckham. Home grown talent infers guys more like Morel IMO. Sale is DQ'd also. I also think Sale will end up disappointing a lot of people over here in the long run. Well maybe not the long run. May at latest is when I expect it. Morel was from the same draft as Beckham, just took him a year longer, but it's still a short time. Same for Dayan (same year into system at least, he wasn't drafted). Home-grown talent means from our farm and all these guys are there. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 12:51 AM) Gordon. Sale will have short term dominance but unfortunately I see a major injury in his future. Not sold on any of the other guys though I'm a huge fan of Mitchell's potential. I really hope once Sale beefs up, it will prevent injury. QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 18, 2010 -> 02:02 AM) None. They'll all be traded for guys who were in the All-Star game in 1999. Take your pick of Vlad, Alex Gonzalez, Magglio, Hoffman, or Thome. We already have Manny and Omar. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 17, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) A really good #2, who has the talent to be a #1 but hasn't had the consistency? Yeah, that fits all those descriptions. +1

I'd like to think if the Sox made another WS, that Nancy would be there to play.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 16, 2010 -> 05:57 PM) Best. Video. Game. Ever. I enjoy being dropped into the game against the Lakers to start s*** off... tried out The Arrival and dropped 70 points with 8 dimes easy as pie. Unfortunately that f***** Danny Ainge, after going 4/12 from the field during the game, drained a 3 on an inbounds pass with no time remaining (had 1.5 seconds on the ticker before inbounds pass). All in all, it was the s***. I looked at some future challenges. I have no idea how I'll get Jordan the rebounds when needed. In past seasons of 2k, though, I've averaged like 14 apg over a season with D-Rose so that 11+ with Scottie against the Lake joint shouldn't be too tough a task. Keep in mind the 86 Michael is the "weakest" of the versions.

Dirk Nowitzki is awesome.

Finally beat the arrival with 67 points and 6 assists. Won the game on a 2 seconds remaining go ahead Jordan posterizing Bird. Also, I just decided to start my association with CAP Asik. I also replaced the Hornets (made them the NO Jazz, purple gold and green), the Bobcats (made them the Hornets, old Hornets colors), the Jazz (the Frost, old Jazz colors), the Cippers (made them the San Diego Conquistadors, gold, red, black), the Grizzlies (made them the Memphis Sound, gold and navy), and the Thunder (made them the Sonics with the retro unis). Noah is a rebounding and shotblocking monster in this game.
