  1. QUOTE (scenario @ Sep 21, 2010 -> 11:33 AM) Tony Pena is going to pitch in winterball (Dominican League) as a starter. Interesting. I bet KW is shopping him as a starter.
  2. Thanks to Walk for all he did. He wasn't nearly as bad as people made him out to be. I'd assume Frank would replace him.
  3. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 11:48 PM) He is done bro! Ignore the batting average and OBP and his approach at the plate, he sucks. No power. Retire. Bring back Mark Kotsay.
  4. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 12:57 PM) If the New York Mets general manager job opens up, White Sox assistant general manager Rick Hahn will be asked to interview, according to numerous major league sources. The sources say the Mets are ready to buy out the $2.2 million remaining on current general manager Omar Minaya’s contract that runs through 2012. EDIT: soruce espn.com NO! Rick is ours...he is ours precious.
  5. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 11:23 PM) Wow, this team is so freaking awful. Only person who even put up a fight tonight was Pena. Seriously Ozzie, get Flowers and Viciedo some playing time. THEY AREN'T READY AND WE'RE IN A PENNANT RACE.
  6. Should Kenny be marketing Pena as a possible starter on the trade market?
  7. I'd be all for this. Though next year when I'm off to college I figure I'll end up making it to more games in KC than Chicago. However, when possible I'd go all the time. I love things like this.
  8. QUOTE (winninguglyin83 @ Sep 20, 2010 -> 07:28 PM) Morel. Morel. Morel. Better fielder by miles. Better control of the strike zone. Will hit for better average. Looks like a better baserunner. Until Viciedo learns to lay off bad pitches, he's got no shot to be a big league hitter. and his best position is DH. Another guy Kenny Williams overpaid to acquire. As already stated, Viciedo is 21. He also has the highest ceiling of any Sox prospect outside of Sale. And that ceiling is 40+ HR a season.
  9. What about Viciedo in RF for 2011? His arm would fit there and he hopefully would be a an improvement over Quentin.
  10. I don't want to see them lose, but I wouldn't mind a Top 15 pick at all.
  11. QUOTE (lord chas @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 08:00 PM) ok bear fans how do you plan on stopping the beast that is clay matthews? A congressional hearing. But really, Martz has been a genius so far this year, so I'll trust him to make adjustments.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 11:31 PM) The real question is, what former superstars are still lurking in the majors that KW can add to his collection? I keep thinking Ivan Rodriguez will wear a Sox jersey soon, same with T. Hunter. Allen Iverson?
  13. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 11:27 PM) "I don't think Viciedo is ready. That's my opinion," said Guillen of the 21-year-old Cuban. "To play in the big leagues? You see a good couple of at-bats here and there, but to get a good 500 at-bats, I would think about it. "He's still far away from being here, a year away or maybe two years away. I don't know how far away. Right now, I don't think he can perform every day. We have to wait and see in Spring Training how mature he is and how he comes back. It's good for him to taste a little bit of the big league level and how people do stuff here." http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...rtnerId=rss_cws Dear Ozzie, f*** off.
  14. This game perfectly describes our season. Flat. Come back out of nowhere with life on the line. Blow chances. Ozzie leaves pitchers in too long. Fade away.
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 11:15 PM) No chance, even though Viciedo really should get a chance here. Ozzie hates us.
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 19, 2010 -> 11:01 PM) Who on this pitching staff can be trusted next season??? Christopher Sale and Matthew Thornton.
