  1. Damnit...a Kong first pitch HR would be nice next inning.
  2. QUOTE (rafacosta @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 01:41 PM) show that girl again....wtf...dont tease us!!!
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 01:09 PM) Has Hawk ever come up with a better nickname than the Big Hurt? +1 I liked Fisk catching the first pitch, JD went back and watched, surprised by the JD sighting.
  4. Man, that looks pretty. Nice to have Fisk and Billy unveil it. Was JD in the dugout?
  5. Hawk has never sounded so excited. Aside from "CREDE!!!" and "ALEXEI!!!"
  6. My dad now regrets telling my mom and I to not get tickets when we had the chance months and weeks ago. I'll be watching at home. Let's win it for Frank!
  7. His K/BB is fine for a above average bench player, which is what he is. He is perfectly worth the price of a below average second base pinch runner and a worse 3B fielder who can't hit a major league fastball. I'll agree it was depressing seeing him against Rivera, but there was no one on the bench that really could have done much.
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 29, 2010 -> 02:05 AM) We can agree to disagree. That bat is too f***ing big for a guy like Teahen. And how come all his supporters won't comment on those stats I provided about how his strikeout to walk ratio is about as bad as it gets? The guy is a horrible fielder and a crummy hitter. His K/BB ratio on the season is 1.95, which isn't bad at all. You're nitpicking. Yes, he's a bad fielder. He's also an average hitter who takes a decent amount of walks and has decent power.
  9. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 27, 2010 -> 12:45 AM) The two best pitchers in baseball the last month have been Jackson and Hudson. Go figure. Trades are weird like that.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 10:59 PM) Ha. The fisherman throws out the bait. I honestly forgot that you were Wise's biggest backer until after I posted that. When Wise did beat Mo Rivera this year however, I was indeed shocked and kept hoping Teahen could do that as well and was thinking of that moment.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 10:36 PM) I knew somebody was going to say that was a line drive. That was a weak ass "line drive." Maybe if he didn't bring a huge 2 by 4 piece of lumber up there he'd have a chance to be a serviceable baseball player. I said Mariano is great as a caveat. My point was no way in hell a stud like Rivera was going to let a scrub like Teahen keep that inning going. Yes, Rivera does it to everyone. I know. In his last 37 plate appearances, he has 2 walks and 10 strikeouts; about right for him. Last year in 561 plate appearances he had 37 walks and 123 Ks. That is really really sad. But he let a scrub like Wise beat him this year...
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 10:16 PM) The question is, what prospect do we even have in our system worth $1 million to another team? It's not going to be Mitchell, Thompson or Viciedo....that leaves who? Tyler Flowers? I just can't see who we're going to trade that will "discount" the cash that we're going to have to pay Ramirez significantly. If I'm Coletti, I would ask for Sergio Santos probably...and there's no way KW can do that with the pen in shambles. Or the fact that Sergio would have to make it through waivers, and the Orioles would claim him. The best that Kenny would part with and the Dodgers could get would be Morel.
  13. QUOTE (Real @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 07:48 PM) haha Good contribution?
  14. QUOTE (mcgrad70 @ Aug 28, 2010 -> 07:19 PM) With the exception of perhaps Peavy when healthy, the Sox have no pitcher higher than a #3. None of them are dominant. When on I'd say that all of Danks, Floyd, Peavy, and Jackson are #1's. Buehrle is a #4 who has masked himself as a #1 for a long time.
