  1. QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 12:04 AM) Anyone that posts on a website everyday is a nerd. Don't be in denial. Nerds. Suddenly, Facebook became a lot less cool.
  2. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 09:29 AM) ykjsldjfiooi? Oooinnaeitneiunqale.
  3. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 02:21 AM) I'm surprised you are not used to it yet, lost. I've changed considerably the last few weeks realizing a loss on here is Armageddon. It's kind of amusing to read the game threads. Oz gets the blame regardless (even in wins sometimes) and it always comes back to the DH thing ... unless Bobby happens to blow the save. Then for a day it's all on Bobby. Last night it was the offense and Putz. Both of them. Ozzie's one big mistake that I saw was not pinch hitting Ramon Castro.
  4. Almost got in a fight with a Tigers fan in center field who flipped everyone off after the home run. Later saw him in bathroom, pointed out he was a Tiger fan, and he ran out.
  5. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 10:45 AM) That was fun. Lets bring in as many guys as possible that throw in the high 90s, but might not know where the ball is gonna go. I doubt there has been a bullpen that can throw as hard as Sisco, MacDougal, Aardsma, & Thornton combined. 2007 Fastball Averages Sisco: 92.4 MacDougal: 93.2 Aardsma: 92.5 Thornton: 94.3 Jenks: 93.9 QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 12:08 PM) I dont know, it appears Santos, Putz, Thorton, Jenks, Threets and even Chris sale can give those guys a run for their money. The two "soft throwing" guy in our pen are Linebrink and Pena and both are mid-90's. Santos: 95.8 Putz: 94.0 Threets: 93.3 Thornton: 96.1 Jenks: 94.9 Sale: 94.8 2010 Bullpen Wins. Used FanGraphs by the way.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 03:23 PM) Werth wasn't 30 when he broke out in 07. He was 28 and his breakout power year was 08 and he was 29. Not much difference.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 03:21 PM) I'd like a flip flop of Teahen and Quentin, both position-wise and lineup-wise. Then flip A.J. and Alexei and you have yourself a pretty good lineup. Still, I think this lineup Ozzie has out there today is pretty decent to begin with. Amazing what removing Kotsay can do.
  8. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 02:15 PM) Going to my first game of the season, anyone know where I can get cheap parking so I dont have to pay 23 bucks There's an ITT (or IIT, I can't remember which) on the other side of the highway that you can park at for 10 bucks.
  9. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 10:33 AM) No you arent. You are just waiting for him to fail so you will feel justified. Just admit it. motion granted
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 09:44 AM) I want to see a repeat performance of what the Sox did to Porcello last week. No mercy, only multiple b****slaps. Lets go White Sox Motion to rename "home runs" "b****slaps"
  11. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 12:17 AM) Wilkins hasn't played in 2 straight games now....hmm.... Promotion? Sept. call up? Recharging his batteries?
  12. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 09:47 AM) You could put this year's DH fiasco right up there with the year (maybe it was 2007) that we didn't have any veteran relievers (specifically loogies) and we auditioned about 13 of them in Spring Training. Even though it was the last position on the baseball team, the relief problems stuck around for most of that season, with the exception of Jenks being very good (I think that was the year he had his streak of innings without giving up a run, yes?) Yes, 2007 was when Jenks retired 41 straight.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 13, 2010 -> 07:57 AM) Hopefully he comes back in a couple weeks/next year with the 2nd edition out. "Dayan Viciedo: The tale of one man's journey to patience." ?
  14. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 06:32 PM) The last 3 drafts have been very good. That 09 draft was looking like a really great one until the injury bug hit. Out of those 3 drafts alone, we are looking at at least 10 MLB players IMO. And that works real well.
  15. Josie's on a vacation far away...
  16. QUOTE (JPN366 @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 12:21 PM) Besides, I can't improve on this level of perfection... Those are some really good looking jeans. That's what we're looking at, right?
  17. I laughed when I heard "Master Sargent" just because I find the word "Master" in a title humorous. Rest of video really pulled on my heart strings though.
  18. The only one I think that will forever haunt Kenny are Swisher I & II. The list of good deals Kenny has made far outweighs the bad.
  19. Knights game was on SportsCenter Top 10.
