O. Guillen loves him some Kotsay, so removal is out of the equation

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 08:25 AM) TEAHEN CAN DO THAT JOB. Milkman, sometimes I love your posts. This is one. -
Jacksons problem was control and if Coop fixed that we'll have possibly one of the most fearsome 1-6 starters ever next year. Edit: Just watched a condensed game. Jackson was nasty.

A bow? To shoot Mark Kotsay with? But kidding aside, Paulie has been amazing and its great to watch. I hope he comes back next year, as even with Buehrle and Gordon around, Paulie is still my favorite player.

QUOTE (ptatc @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 11:28 AM) After watching some video clips, sale does not hold his shoulder in internal rotation (W position) near as long as Strasberg. While the mechanics aren't ideal, Sale's tendency for injury is less than that of Strasberg. This makes me smile.

QUOTE (kev211 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 10:32 PM) http://tweetphoto.com/36705995 Haha Brent lillibridge's new pic on twitter. I'm starting to really like him. @ESPY_TEAHEN @JJPutz20 u know how I get out of watching those shows? Just say whatever girl(s) on it are really hot. It works like a charm. That is great.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) Too bad Harrell had to get sent down after that win. After winning the opener today, it would have been interesting to see him go out there and try to win his second game in as many starts. He should have had no pressure after the Game One win and his nice win the other day. Instead we got an ineffective and maybe nervous Torres. Rout. Harrell shall be a cult hero. But seriously, his start was my favorite game to attend in a long time. I want to see him again.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 05:32 PM) True. But man. Ellsbury, Cameron, Pedroia, Martinez, Beckett, Buchholz and now Youk are either currently on or spent a considerable amount of time on the DL. I actually think they might be the best team in baseball with a healthy roster. Trade Lester for Herm?

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 04:36 PM) Think teams try to come up with really ridiculous/hilarious reasons for injuries when they make them up? Mark Kotsay to DL with a bad case of blue balls?

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 03:07 PM) There's some guy named R. Williams in Charlotte who could be an option. Never heard of him, but he has a 1.80 ERA.

I want to hit Rizzo. He's not going to get anything close to offers he got before the deadline.

QUOTE (TomPickle @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 03:01 PM) Give me HanRam and Tulo over Alexei. I'd rather have Hanley play the outfield though. Hanley's defense has been worst in the bigs this year for SS.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 02:44 PM) You were never in that clubhouse, the guys hated Jim Thome for being too nice. Ozzie Guillen doesn't like nice guys, they finish last. Grinders, on the other hand.... Need more assholes.

Had this discussion in chat Furcal and Tulo have higher WARs and thats it.
-
They just did it 3 times behind home at the Tigers game. I want them to die.

With runners in scoring position, Mark Kotsay is hitting a robust .148 Stealth Elf? .750 Cuban Tank? .333

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 2, 2010 -> 10:57 PM) Sounds like the title of this thread should be changed to "Don't Demote Dayan!" He better not be demoted, I just ordered my Dayan shirt.

QUOTE (Ranger @ Aug 2, 2010 -> 09:19 PM) Kotsay isn't going anywhere. I could be wrong, but my guess is Viciedo is back to Charlotte when Teahen is back. Konerko is getting quite a few off days from the field (he's already 3 games away from his single season high of games played at DH), and Kotsay is the only one that backs him up. If they decide to move Viciedo to first base, it won't be done at the ML level this year and they certainly won't want him playing there down the stretch in a playoff race. I understand nobody likes Kotsy and he's everybody's favorite target, but he isn't killing them and he isn't going to cost them the division. If they lose the division, it'll be because the pitching failed. I'm sorry Ranger, but I can't agree that Kotsay isn't killing them. How'd the Devil Rays win? They haven't been relevant in years

QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 2, 2010 -> 07:51 PM) Gilmore was 2-3 with two rbi's. Now hitting .337. He could end up being our prolific singles hitter.

One time at a game during the wave, me and my friends stood up when it came by, but didn't sit down and just stood there...staring.

The fact that Kenny didn't trade Dayan is what has pushed me over the edge to get a Dayan shirt.
