Eh, f*** it. Now that JR has crushed the last bit of hope, I can't be disappointed.

Man, say what you will about Michael Reinsdorf, AKME, and how it's turned out but at least they tried to change things up.

You're probably thinking of Ted Stepien's nonsense. He traded five consecutive first-round picks, which is why the NBA has banned trading first rounders in consecutive years. The NBA then let new owners purchase draft picks because Stepien's trading had been so harmful. It was $500,000 per pick, which was a lot to a team at the time. The only trade I know of where the league was like "this is s%*#" was the Chris Paul to Lakers deal, where the NBA were acting owners of the (then) Hornets. As far as MLB overturning trades, bad/secret medicals would have to be exchanged. MLB overturned Colin Rea for Luis Castillo for the Marlins after San Diego failed to disclose an injury. They offered the Red Sox the opportunity to overturn Drew Pomeranz for Anderson Espinoza. Painfully, the White Sox were one of the teams that seemed to also be involved but didn't get the chance to undo the moronic trade.

I think a combination of Kim Ng saying "called up my boy Kenny Williams" + McGuffey's "KW had authority to trade with the Marlins and Yankees" + Garfein's "Hahn didn't want to trade Burger, Kenny did and traded Burger" paints a pretty clear picture, especially when one is a primary source. FWIW, I may be confusing Garfein and McGuffey, but yeah, this was a KW trade.

Alright everyone, looks like we know when the GM search is ending, a proposal to play in Lake Michigan is leaked, and a fan brings a katana into the stadium.

I wonder what would have happened if they hadn't blocked the White Sox from picking Benintendi (we grabbed Fulmer that draft).

Opens Wikipedia Second Paragraph FWIW, his Dodgers tenure was 2001-2004.

Yeah, I'm really confused how this is "bittersweet memories." This is like me trying to lose weight and then relaying to a friend how I ate a slice of cake yesterday.

I want to see Elko challenge Vaughn, but Elko's got a really high BABIP and strikes out 10% more. I think Yoan has scarred me for life on high BABIP, high strikeout guys.

Honestly, I can see Hahn landing a job as a contract negotiator if he's willing to take it. He had that one skill. I can't see KW taking anything but a GM role.

Sox medical staff now that KW/Hahn are gone: "Ok guys, we're actually allowed to institute a stretching regimen." -

Grifol isn't here for that nonsense. -
That means it's time to hire someone from the Dodgers.

I'm hoping a new pitching coach can do something with guys like Touki, Patino and Honeywell.

@CentralChamps21 I'm sorry you must bear this burden -
Colorado operator is the GOAT And I know this is just ruining the joke of Getz retiring himself, but sure, retire Crede and Contreras
-
Getz could retire #17, make Beckham the permanent play by play operator and put Jay Cuda in charge of the scoreboard if it means no Dayton Moore.
