I honestly think that the Heat will always flame out in the playoffs unless a lot of old vets get desperate and go for min. contracts.

ESPN interviewed Leyland. My god. Stop it.

This coming down to the 11th hour. Wait, it's LeBron...adding a 13th hour for it to come down to.

Lillibridge is the DH solution.

My gut says LeBron again after feeling dead this morning. Go Boozer, go. Also, its hard to bomb a 3 hour presentation and come out smiling

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 10:02 AM) So you think they should have denied Wade the opportunity to talk with the team assuming he was a spy? The guy was going around in the media basically saying being near his kids could be a deciding factor in his decision. Seems very legit to me. Whats funny is I can imagine how outraged you would be if the Bulls snubbed hometown hero Dwayne Wade when he just wanted to play close to his family in Chicago.. Hindsight is 20/20 I guess but Ill bet almost all of us were giddy with the idea of Wade coming to Chicago. As far as suspecting it? Who knows, we dont know what was said or what information they made him privy to. I doubt they laid out the blueprint to success they were planning with him and asked for his opinions. Wade is just a shady guy I guess. People can guess where LeBron will go all day and I know it looks bad, but barring him going to Miami, Chicago is his only chance to be part of a dynasty to have the potential to get him multiple rings being "the man" and we know the ego this guy has. Exactly.

If the trade deadline comes by and the Sox can get an impact bat for Hudson and Peavy is still one or two starts from being back...does Torres take the spot or do the Sox go ballsy and use Sale?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:52 AM) So what does next year's free agent class look like? Melo, who has an empire state of mind and extending Noah.
-
QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 09:36 AM) If Wade was really a spy. What a douchebag, he used his kids for crying out loud. This. To everyone who is blaming the Bulls...can you really? No one was giving into the Raptors initially, and the Bulls could still offer a better package minus Noah against the Heat. Wade said he was doing what was best for his kids, had Bosh come into a meeting with him to discuss it, etc. The front office bought it and so did we, because Wade is a shady piece of crap. As for trusting World Wide Wes...a month ago, would anyone have said that was a bad idea?
-
Just for the record, I hate Wade. He is the one that mainly screwed over the Bulls, not the front office (who did just about everything right). **** Dywane Wade and his idiotic spelling of his first name. Have to hold out hope for LeBron at this point.
-
QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 07:35 AM) LeBron set his time for the announcement last night and he probably already knew what Bosh was doing. His decision is made. Nothing the Bulls can do now to change his mind. Hell, at this point, he would be calling these guys and recruiting for whatever team he is going to. But, LeBron was trying to recruit Bosh as late as last night, so this could change his plans.
-
To calm myself a little. If the Bulls can get Boozer and Allen it'll basically tell LeBron "Look, this is the only place you can beat whatever mega team Miami is putting together." The Heat-Bulls rivalries would be insane if LeBron came here.
-
Oh boy. The Bulls need to pull off something big now...they need to trade Deng for some cap and a piece or two then go to Ray Allen and Boozer and get them to sign and convince LeBron its the only way he has a chance to combat a Heat team.
-
QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Jul 7, 2010 -> 06:30 AM) Mike and Mike have Broussard (sp) on and he is claiming Wade and Bosh to Heat is a done deal. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5360134 Not believing anything until tomorrow.

This team is not laying down at all.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 07:47 PM) Did somebody put a voodoo hex on the Red Sox or what? Kevin Youkilis had to leave the game in the 4th inning due to some freak calf or ankle injury while he was in the batters box. Looked pretty bad. The Curse of Yankees Rivals. Last year it was the Mets. Honestly...this could help Paulie, if Youk wins the final vote. That sounds horrible, but still.

This is good news.

QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 10:48 PM) if i was the bulls i'd have asked lebron to masturbate into a cup during their interview, steal an egg from candace parker, and find a nice surrogate to make a nice play for the 2035 free agency season with us having the major advantage in having conceived chairman craig - king of thieves, best basketball player in the worlds. Drugs or booze?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 08:17 AM) As can Delonte West... and his still being in Cleveland is reason #829 why LBJ needs to GTFO. Awesome.

QUOTE (Real @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 08:23 AM) God, picturing Quentin in their silly looking cartoon uniform, that's hilarious "What the hell is this blue? I only can wear black. Like my deep, seething anger."

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 08:05 AM) Ummm....the Twins actually added some pieces last year, like Orlando Cabrera, Jon Rauch, Ron Mahay and Carl Pavano. We might have upstaged them in the PR battle with the controversial Rios move (everyone thought KW was crazy crazy!!) and Peavy (although Richard has turned out to be an NL All-Star, nearly). Thats what I meant. Kenny likes to make PR moves (I still can't think of how the Griffey trade would have made sense otherwise) and last year how he completely upstaged O-Cab and Washburn.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 6, 2010 -> 05:47 AM) I'm not sure if I purposefully avoid the news, but I do come here first, and I do enjoy the build-up. I value this community above all others, so naturally, this is where I come for all my sports news. This. I come to SoxTalk for 99% of my sports news. Also, Toronto needs to look at what they could gain in a sign and trade: From Bulls they could get: Luol Deng/Taj Gibson/Bobcats First Rounder or Taj/Pick/Massive Trade Exception From Heat: Beasley/Chalmers/Anthony/Trade Exception It's that or nothing, and a trade exception that big could be helpful.

QUOTE (hi8is @ Jul 5, 2010 -> 11:31 PM) I seriously wouldn't doubt it if KW is targeting Cliff Lee as his number 1 target with a deal involving John Danks, Dayan Viceado, Tyler Flowers, and company. 2 reasons - 1.) you keep him away from the twins 2.) if you can sign Lee to an extention - it negates not having Danks locked up / losing Danks I sure would love me some Cliff Lee action. Then he could find some offensive help that isn't a crazy bat like Dunn or Fielder but someone that should only yeild a B or C level prospect. If I'm KW - I'm doing EVERYTHING in my power to sell the farm on Lee and get a deal consumated for an extention. Don't wake me up... It's nice dreaming question thou: if your Seattle - does a package of Danks/Dayan/Flowers/etc excite you more than what the twins could offer? I don't know about their farm system I'm pretty sure that package could get almost anyone in the bigs.

Kenny will have a better hand then the Twins. He upstaged them last year.
