QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 07:24 PM) Take that back, I think he will be a Sacramento King. Darn it...I got excited. Please, basketball gods, do that. 1. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 07:21 PM) I'm hearing Deng will be a Sacramento King come July 1st. Source?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 06:58 PM) I would love to see Cousins get Quinned and have to sit there for 20 picks, looking like the ass he is. Nope. 1. Wizards - PG John Wall 2. 76ers - SG Evan Turner 3. Nets - PF Derrick Favors 4. Timberwolves - SF Wesley Johnson 5. Kings - C DeMarcus Cousins

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 06:15 PM) Fine, you dont have to agree. I see Nix with 412 career AB hitting .200/.291/.347 and Lillibridge with 200 career AB hitting .185/.264/.281. Nothing in either of those slash lines says that one is so much better that you have to keep him over the opposite player. Lillibridge is cheaper and more versatile. Sorry Jayson, see ya Also faster and more Southpaw friendly.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) I'm hoping we get Earl Boykins back... LeBron can put him on his shoulders and let him dunk when we're blowing out the opposition by 40. Super-human?
-
QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 06:32 PM) So are we basically just picking for the Wizards tonight? Yes. Our return is John Wall. (In all honesty, no idea, since I still don't know what the return is)

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 05:19 PM) Evidently there is a rumor out there that Deng could be headed to the Clippers or Kings for cap space. Would give the Bulls 2 full max contracts, plus around 9 mill for a 3rd guy. ^ Did the math up there Jason

QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 04:42 PM) correct me if i am wrong, isn't roster hold only apply for 8 spots, and no more holds if you have 8 guys already? I'm 90% sure the roster hold is for when you have to fill out the roster to it's minimum. Taking into consideration filling out the roster on minimum contracts, that scenario still stays the same.

For those wondering Assuming a 56.1 million dollar cap, and the Bulls sign one max guy: Max Guy: $16,568,908 Luol Deng $11,345,000 Derrick Rose $5,546,160 Joakim Noah $3,128,536 James Johnson $1,713,600 Taj Gibson $1,117,680 Roster hold $473,604 Roster hold $473,604 Roster hold $473,604 Roster hold $473,604 Roster hold $473,604 Total $41,787,904 Remaining for final FA: $14,312,096 That falls right in line with Johnson's reported 4yr/60M deal. What I want to happen is they trade Deng + The Bobcats Pick + A Future Pick for the Clips 8th (I think about a $2.3M cap hold) pick to bring the remaining $$$ in addition to one max guy to: $23,357,096 Subtract the money for Bosh ($16,568,908) and you get: $6,788,188 Using that money you could probably get Ray Allen here if he doesn't want to resign with the Celtics, and depending on his price, possibly have Brad return to further tutor the big men. Edit: To fill out that roster, you'd probably bring back Law/Kurz/Byars/Alexander at the minimum. And with the 8th pick, I'd draft Henry to get: PG - Rose/Law SG - Allen/Henry/Byars SF - LeBron/Johnson/Alexander PF - Bosh/Gibson/Kurz C - Noah/Miller/Asik

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 04:04 PM) If you can pair Johnson up with LeBron, I don't care. Johnson's a nice #2 to have, but no matter what, he can't be your #1. Look what's happened to Atlanta these past couple of years. I know, it's just having Henry/Kirk/LBJ/Bosh fills out the roster a lot better than JJ/LBJ I just got a bad feeling. Trading Deng would mean to me that LBJ is coming with Bosh, trading Kirk makes me think that JJ is the only sure thing.

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:55 PM) I'm being told by my friend the Hinrich + 17 trade doesn't shed enough salary to pursue two maximum contracts. Can someone explain? Thats why I think they are going after Johnson, as the rumor is he'll take an under max deal from the Bulls.

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) If Paulie gets stiffed on the All Star Game for Texieria, I will be more pissed than I have ever been at an All Star selection. Agreed. -
This was again, why Deng/17 for Clips 8 made much more sense. It allowed them to draft Henry, get rid of Deng's increasing contract as opposed to Kirk's decreasing one, and fit into LeBron/Bosh better. Still waiting to see what the return would be.

PAULIE! -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 03:05 PM) Why? No shooting guard, and they wouldn't have room for a Ray Allen type after signing LeBron/Bosh, the Wizards don't have a pick to send over like the 8th, and there was the rumor that JJ would sign for 4yr/60M
