  1. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ May 29, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) well that and the team isn't very good and he won't stay if another FA doesn't come That wouldn't be loyal... ...oh wait, I forgot only teams need to be loyal, not players.
  2. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ May 29, 2010 -> 01:28 PM) Actually, wouldn't being totally unhittable mean that they can't even hit the ball? There's only been one man who was able to do that - Steve f***ing Nebraska I forgot where I knew that name
  3. QUOTE (since56 @ May 29, 2010 -> 03:25 PM) Ramirez and Beckham the best in the league? Are you voting for them as all stars? QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 29, 2010 -> 04:07 PM) reading comprehension ^ ^ ^ You said at best, they are average, when at best, there are few SS-2B tandems that could match them.
  4. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 29, 2010 -> 03:04 PM) I miss DJ joining Hawk on the HR call I always miss that, and hate how Stone doesn't.
  5. QUOTE (since56 @ May 29, 2010 -> 06:42 AM) The bigs are not a developemental league. Either he gets it going for real now or I'd rather see Vizquel at short and Ramirez at second. If Beckham can get his average over 250 maybe put vizquel at 3rd and make Teahan utility or trade him for a prospect. Teahan, Ramirez, Beckham, what an infield. Average at best defensivesly and can't hit the floor if they fell out of bed. Whew are they bad! Sox fan forever and always will be., but lets not candy coat the truth. Yes, Teahen is a mediocre defender, but at best Gordon and Alexei could be the best SS-2B tandem out there. Also, hitting wise, Alexei is a far better hitter with warmer weather, and he's heating up. Gordon still has great potential, and Teahen, well, he's Teahen. Lets not candy coat the truth, but lets not cover it in **** either.
  6. QUOTE (since56 @ May 29, 2010 -> 11:53 AM) He can't risk getting hit on that wrist. Look at how few times he has been hit compared to past years. He didn't get hit in the wrist, he slammed his hand against the bat. In fact, I don't ever remember him being hit on the wrist. That being said, I think it's more of a mental thing for Q than his stance right now.
  7. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 28, 2010 -> 08:37 PM) Hell of a play by Longoria. DAGUMIT. I miss the days of Crede making anything that went by him an out. Why couldn't he be left handed and healthy?
  8. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ May 25, 2010 -> 09:55 AM) Yes. Because of bigotry. We were discussing homosexuality in English yesterday, and someone brought up the whole "God made Adam and Eve, not two Adams" argument. Know what else isn't in the Bible? Cell phones...or cars...or you know, a lot of crap we have. It is extremely idiotic though, that people even consider keeping it in place.
  9. QUOTE (zenryan @ May 28, 2010 -> 04:09 AM) Actually that quote is pretty funny and almost redeems himself from this situation. If anything, it makes me think he tossed Buehrle to prove his point about long games.
  10. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 27, 2010 -> 09:05 PM) I care, but it's kind of like pissing into the wind. Piss harder than.
  11. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ May 28, 2010 -> 02:50 AM) Honestly the Bulls are one of THE most loyal organizations in the NBA in terms of organizational involvement from former players. The Jay Williams example is also a very good one, and Jay had a few quotes today saying how wrong Wade is. What a pathetic effort by Wade, who is obviously staying in Miami, to try and deter free agents from signing in Chicago. If there's one thing I love about Reinsdorf, it's he is a loyal guy. Sometimes to a fault, but at least he is loyal. Williams: Bob Love: Didn't Frank lose a lot of money at one point gambling, and JR bailed him out?
  12. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 27, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) The other day I had two of those sneaky bastards attack my horse and they got me on the ground and I quickly got into deadeye and blew their heads off. Those cougars are little b****es. A guy was about to attack me, and the cougar appeared out of nowhere and killed him.
  13. I'm beginning to like the prospect of challenges like in football for baseball.
  14. It's time for Floyd Gavin to turn it around and build off that last start. Let's see that curve #34.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 27, 2010 -> 12:21 AM) I've run out of adjectives to describe Ubaldo Jimenez. 8 more shutout innings against arguably the best offense in the NL (not saying much, but Arizona is legit). You know you've been good when we're nearly two months in and you're the clear front-runner for the CY in a league that sports Halladay and Lincecum. Especially in Colorado.
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ May 26, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) S. Strasburg to make his debut against the Pirates on the Nationals next home stand. 'bout time. Now, we can start speculating Chapman's debut.
  17. QUOTE (Real @ May 26, 2010 -> 11:38 PM) some of you may find this as positive news, others unrealistic, but just posting it in 2009, after 46 games we were 21-25 (we're 20-26 right now) for us to win 90 games in 2010, we will have to play .603 ball the rest of the way and go (20-26 > 70-46 = 90-72) Lets do it (Gordon, that means start hitting. I mean hell, once that happens, the lineup suddenly seems cured of its cold sadness)
  18. Posted this in the Santos Article Thread: Anyone ever order a t-shirt from whitesox.com? I've heard they aren't like the ball park ones...that they lack the silver trim. Can anyone confirm if they have the trim or not? If they have it, I'm ordering my Santos shirt ASAP.
