  1. The CHGO and White Sox Talk podcasts had two real different tones on this. White Sox Talk basically made everything sound like it was doomed from the start and everything was fool's gold. CHGO took a stance that the team clearly had talent and could have done something if not for organizational dysfunction, but Jerry opened the floodgates with TLR. I'm kinda taking CHGO because other White Sox Talk has just been full of s%*# the past few years, unless I'm just imagining Chuck's "WE JUST GOT EDWIN FREAKING ENCARNACION!" podcast.
  2. This one. Then see if he can convince Espada to come on as manager.
  3. Turns out his bias all these years was that the org is terrible
  4. So was Bob's source KW? I know there was speculation that that was the case. All aboard Mr. Bone's Wild Ride.
  5. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/stats/affiliates?teamId=145&date=08/24/2023 https://www.milb.com/scores/all/all/whitesox 3-2 across the org yesterday, so I'll keep the threads going for now. Cannon going for the Barons. Wolkow is in Kannapolis - maybe we get a sneak peek of the baby giant?
  6. If you had to ask me the post pained fanbase, I'd really struggle. The White Sox seem to have the most dramatic and "what the absolute f***" situations happen to them. The Mets just keep lolmets-ing and are the ultimate little brothers. Not even Steve Cohen's infinite war chest could overcome that. The A's. Man, John Fisher just straight Major League'd them. The Angels. Two all-time GOATS. One who had a shot at being the GOAT and another re-writing history books every game. An owner willing to spend on other generational talents (Pujols) and stars (Rendon). Less healthy than the Thibs-era Bulls. The Pirates. Nutting is cheap as hell. Most noteworthy highlight of the past few years is Javy Baez clowning them.
  7. And Trout back to the IL right after returning.
  8. TLR convincing Jerry to sign Lunhow would possibly be the funniest outcome.
  9. I mean, it was weird as s%*# that we know there has to be a Harper presentation at the UC and it just...ended? Like suddenly it was full court press for Machado despite Harper making more sense. Or am I misremembering?
  10. Ohtani hired as player/GM And uh... That's it.
  11. Chris Getz made the hard decision to not DFA Tim Anderson on day one.
  12. Not quite a pasta party, maybe a pizza party???
  13. RemVP died so Peralta could make a late push for ROY
  14. Can someone explain to me why they tried to make Santos go two innings?
  15. Fun thing about not having a GM is we don't know if it'll get him a contract or not
  16. TT! For some reason Trayce Thompson is still like, 25-years-old in my head.
  17. Kissing your sister is like hiring Dayton Moore. It shouldn't happen and why would you say these things, what is wrong with you?
  18. This is why Garfein suggesting Dan Duquette because of his time with the Expos, Red Sox and Orioles baffles me.
  19. Why is it so hard to get someone who's had success in the past half decade?
  20. I want the Ricky Renteria timeline back. Also, f*** anyone that ever unironically typed "Tony's boys don't quit."
  21. He hasn't played since 2019, so it's pretty hard to say since Eloy and Moncada had more homers than him that season.
  22. Bama missed the most interesting week possible to be out of the country. https://www.mlb.com/prospects/stats/affiliates?teamId=145&date=08/23/2023 https://www.milb.com/scores/all/all/whitesox
  23. Because he's about to take us back to the Crusades to somehow outline Dayton Moore's philosophy for building a farm system and Caulfield's one true love, the 2015 Royals.
