QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 13, 2010 -> 12:18 AM) Does Walker get any credit for PK, Jones and Rios? No, hitting coaches are only responsible for those who suck.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ May 12, 2010 -> 11:11 PM) This is what I think. A lot of people "hate" Lebron but if he was on your team you'd love him. As well as all of the stuff that makes him an "egomaniac" etc. all of the other BS that people complain about. The guy has fun playing ball. Who cares if he has his little routine & dancing & handshakes. If you wanna stop him from doing it, then beat him. See Pierzynski, AJ.

This will end in a lawsuit when some guy starts screwing a hologram in public.

Someone in the catch all said if Short hits .400, they could care less about how much he walks. I agree.

QUOTE (knightni @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:30 PM) Yes, there are others. I wouldn't dislike getting LeBron, but Wade is a better fit, IMO. James is a sore loser, a child and really obnoxious; he's also arguably the best player under 28 in this league. This. I think about it, and I hate the prospect of LeBrons attitude. But winning forgives all, and with Rose being 21, Noah being 25, and LeBron being 25, you'd have a 5 year window at least where you could absolutely dominate the leauge.

Oh silly Ozzie. And pretty sure Pinella is No. 193

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 12, 2010 -> 04:26 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=Aobt...liersunraveling God let the Celtics win tomorrow. Yes Cleveland, boo the one man who could end your city long drought and help him decide to leave. Also, allow LeBron to pick his coach.

According to Sam Smith, sources around the league are saying LeBron is now taking the Bulls very seriously. If its a sign and trade, he has LeBron to Lakers for Odom/Bynum or the Bulls for Deng/Taj/1st. If it's just a signing then he has the Bulls being #1, and trying to trade Deng for a PF. The second I can, I sign LeBron, then call up the Suns or Wolves, who have both liked Deng in the past. Offer up Deng, a first, and maybe JJ in a sign-and-trade or normal trade for Stoudemire or Jefferson respectively. I lean towards Jefferson, as he would be cheaper. If they get Jefferson, sign Ray Allen and Brad Miller with the leftover money, then to round out the bench, sign Alexander, Pargo, Richard, someone else to minimums to round out the team. A starting lineup of Rose/Hinrich/LeBron/Jefferson/Noah with Taj/Allen/Miller coming off the bench would be near impossible for any team in the league to keep up with.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ May 12, 2010 -> 10:52 AM) I used any oil that was available. Even motor oil or cooking oil. They didn't have microwaves back when I was in Little League. Don't the have those metal rings for the laces anymore? I would think your glove would start to spark in the microwave. Nah, it's all leather, so it worked beautifully.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 12, 2010 -> 03:37 PM) Quentin is trying to hit ever ball over the LF foul pole right now. He'll find his stroke, and will become more selective eventually, same with Beckham. The way its going, the way its going, when they start to hit, Konerko, Rios and Jones may struggle. That sounds like our type of luck. But god, if GQ could start hitting like they should, that'd give us 5 good bats, plus Slappy who is beginning to hit. That combined with warm weather for Alexei leaves AJ & Teahen

QUOTE (bigruss22 @ May 12, 2010 -> 12:42 AM) You take that back! Yes, that show was terrible, but she is a dime now. Oh, she is indeed hot, now, but when I was like 8, that was one of my favorite shows.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 11, 2010 -> 08:41 AM) It actually surprises me how poorly he's hit against some of these guys. It figures. We can contain the Twins best player, but when it comes to their crappy no-namers, we'll get slaughtered. Also, LOL @ the Thome comment by Bobby.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...&id=5173365 I recently bought a Rawlings Renegade, and I've been trying to 'naturally' break it in for about 3 weeks to little avail. Then I tried a variation of Rowand's method and doused it in hot water, than put it in the microwave for 30 seconds. It's a lot softer now, and its sitting under my mattress with a baseball tied in it to shape it right now. Funnily enough, the tan parts of the glove went from tan to dark brown, and I like the look a lot more. How does everyone else break in their gloves?

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 11, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) Typical bulls*** move by MLB. Supposedly the AAA park that sits 18,000 in Buffalo was available those days. The smart thing to do would have been to move the series there, I'm sure they could probably sell it out. But of course, Selig has to go for the cash grab and have it in Philly. Same situation as Astros/Cubs in Milwaukee two years ago. I hate when Selig does this. Poor Jays fans that wanted to see Doc again.

Ke$ha is on here. How, is beyond me. Amanda Bynes being on there hurts my brain, as I remember the Amanda Show. Katy Perry should be towards the bottom.
-
No way LeBron stays if they lose this series. If they don't win this year, the Cavs almost certainly won't win in coming years, and that could cause LeBron to leave. (Hey LeBron, we know you like NY but Chicago is also a big media market, and we don't have a skeleton roster.)

QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ May 11, 2010 -> 10:38 PM) I'm a 24 year old dude. As straight as a dude man can be. I just get some man crushes sometimes. The Biebs Feves is like a Mini-Man Crush I guess. Blame the "media" and the bah gawd "unmanly man agenda" in America today! Honestly, I've been waiting on another 08 Q year to buy a real jersey; and want a real jersey Beckham. I get enjoyment out of the players like Erstad and Lillibridge- gotta find guilty pleasures in every game. I've since aquired those jersey t-shirts, and feel that so far the only thing to excite me in 2010 has been the fever in the clubhouse surrounding Bieber. Contradiction. Also, if this is a man-crush, see Chris Hansen as earlier displayed in this thread.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ May 11, 2010 -> 01:03 PM) Love Biddle too, though he is rather unrefined. He was getting first round consideration earlier this year I believe. I really hope that organization takes more risks with picks and in turn opens up their wallet a bit more. Draft spending has been pitiful, and the system needs more talent and depth in too many areas. A mere million more spent could pay huge dividends. Yes, I'm tired of taking the safe affordable route. I want a high-risk high-reward farm system.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 11, 2010 -> 10:34 PM) His catch on Morneau in the eighth was worth whatever we pay him. The offense is a bonus. My heart stopped when Morneau hit that ball. I love Rios now.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 11, 2010 -> 12:07 AM) No. He is a step ahead of VDN... but still on the terrible list. Might be one of the reasons Wade might not want to come here supposedly. He wants to stay far away from that crazy chick as possible. On the plus side, his kids do go to school here. He and Taj are good friends. I think it was just more or less complementing a friend he works out with in the off-season. Ya JJ wrote his tomb when he ripped the fan-base. No way he re-signs there, and I told you that Atlanta was easily the best match-up the Magic could have gotten. I'm still convinced that if Atlanta played Boston, they probably sweep them or win in 5. Boston got a break playing Cleveland big time. If the Suns win a title, say.. Amar'e loves Gragic or thinks he has 2 good years with Nash left to win 2 more titles, I think he re-signs with the Suns and would be a shame cause he has moved up now ahead of Bosh on my personal list to pair with Rose. Then it makes sense, I was unaware they were friends. Start recruiting Taj. My list goes: LeBron Wade Bosh [Dirk] Amare Johnson For bench pieces, barring a sign-and-trade, I'd probably just like to resign Miller and add Ray Allen if you can get them for the leftover money.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ May 10, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) Hmm, the Magic's sweep of the Hawks was the most lopsided in NBA playoff history according STATS LLC. Guess we proved to the naysayers in pre-season who thought last season was a fluke otherwise. We've won 14 in a row now. JJ was booed off the court, goodbye Atlanta for him. I want a Magic - Suns final, and I'm pulling for the Suns since they're my second favorite team and I'd like to see Hill & Nash get rings.

If the Sox can avoid signability issues with Biddle, I'd love to add a lefty starter with front rotation potential in maybe the 4th round.

Anyone know if their gonna release the 30 for 30 on DVD/Blu-Ray?

According to Sam Smith, the other day LeBron was gushing over Taj. I understand Noah & Rose, but Taj? LeBron must really like the Bulls.
