Meh. I don't really care to wait any longer. Some Sox mistakes I noticed.....

"SP John Ely got traded to the Dodgers in the Juan Pierre this past offseason.

3B Joe Crede is placed in Class-A, even though he is still a Free Agent.

1B Dayan Viciedo should actually be listed as a 3B, with 1B as his secondary position, not the other way around.

RP Matt Thornton added a CUTTER this spring training. Considering he throws his fastball at 97-98, his cutter probably comes in around 91-92

SP Daniel Cabrera should be RELEASED. He is no longer on the team."

I was told that Cabrera and Crede are on the minor league teams for reasons that they didn't have enough minor leaguers to create. You can simply release them from your franchise.

I manually made the other chances, plus increased Morel's defense rating (they gave him like a 45. Wtf?), and make Mitchell and Thompson faster, as well as giving Beckham a little more power and increased his horrible base-running ability. Also increased the velocities and K-rates on Santos. Increased K-Rate on Hudson too.

I can wait because I'm still working on my All-Time rosters. It takes a long time to just plan the freaking things.

Edit: There are currently 3 people in the SoxTalk league. I'll activate it once 6 join.

  2. I voted First Take because Skip Bayless is the most worthless analyst since Mariotti.

I would have mentioned the Scott Van Pelt Show just for his co-host idiot.

I dislike both especially after the Perfect. Skip Bayless claimed it was nothing special and Van Pelt wasn't there and his co-host didn't mention the perfecto, because no one likes to hear about anything but Brett Favre and Michael Vick.

Injuries really killed this team. They could have been a middle seed if guys like Rose and Noah don't get hurt.

If Rose and Noah weren't injured, the Bulls would easily be in the playoffs right now. And not once during that 10 game losing streak did you see the Bulls not try. They didn't win, but at least they didn't give up like a lot of teams would have.

I think Vinny should be retained for a couple reasons

    1) Vinny is showing to be maturing as a coach at times. Sure, he still has flaws, but they can be fixed.

    2) By all accounts, Rose and Noah really like him, and since those are your two big pieces, appeasing them is a good plan.

    3) Who else is out there? Unless Collins and Reinsdorf decide they can have their relationship intact while working together, it won't work.

What I think the Bulls should do is try and get more older assistants, like they did last year, to help Vinny along.

OS FULL MINOR LEAGUE ROSTERS ARE LIVE!!

Go to SportsConnect ---> Community ----> Roster Vault ----> OSFullMinors2010V1.0

Sadly, I'm waiting for the one with the pitch edits (or at least the one with all the Minor Leaguers with proper faces).

Every year there are Indian apologists - people who think Shapiro is some kind of SABR genius even though he couldn't win when he had Lee, Sabathia, Hafner, and Sizemore in their prime. This is why he won GM of the year in 05. Rob Neyer believes the ALC shakes out like this

    AL CENTRAL

    1. Twins - 85

    2. Indians - 81

    3. White Sox - 77

    4. Tigers - 76

    5. Royals - 72

The Twins would have been big favorites if they hadn't lost Joe Nathan. Now they're just favorites. And yes, the Indians went 67-95 last year. But somebody has to be this year's big surprise, right? Fausto Carmona, Travis Hafner and Grady Sizemore all played exceptionally well in spring training. The Indians have a new manager. I'm just saying, don't be shocked if they do something amazing.

Mark Shapiro is my least favorite GM. He sucks, yet is hailed as a genius. He also pronounces my last name oddly.
