Close. When Corn Flakes Were Part of an Anti-Masturbation Crusade

Look up the origin of Kellogg's.

Getz won't replace all the concessions with Kellogg's.

I enjoyed Guff and Podsednik's part on the podcast, but what I absolutely love about this episode was the fact that they kept hammering home that KW and Hahn had their jobs in large part due to 2005. Then Ozzie "joked" about how he should have been hired manager over Pedro (he said it was his son's joke, but he had to tell everyone). Chuck's suggestion for GM was to sign Dan Duquette because he helped lay the groundwork for the 2004 Red Sox, even though his most recent work was a s%*# Orioles run.

Dayton Moore is my sleep paralysis demon.

Dear lord. It tracks, especially with Kim Ng's comments. But also, on the White Sox Talk podcast, Guff said that One of KW/Hahn wanted to sign Harper, the other wanted Machado When it became Machado, one wanted to sign him to a complicated contract My guess is Hahn wanted Harper, then when it failed, went for the annoying ass contract.

If it were to turn out that Harold is Chris Getz, that would make this the single greatest White Sox season from a drama standpoint.

Not if Dayton Moore is on the table.

Dude has an 80-grade lawyer talk tool.

I almost feel bad for Hahn.

Everyone knows it's good when you have two execs trading with two separate sets of teams.

But imagine the press conferences

Fwiw with the Tony jokes, he looked really rough during a Cards broadcast the other day. Saw speculation it was cancer. TLR had an awful, awful and infuriating second run here. But f*** cancer. If true, I hope he can beat it.

SoxTalk hive mind for GM

Even not being a top tier team and mired in mediocrity, the Sox are #15 most valuable team in baseball. A's are 29th. Give the Sox a consistently good team and they'd skyrocket. https://www.forbes.com/sites/mikeozanian/2023/03/23/baseballs-most-valuable-teams-2023-price-tags-are-up-12-despite-regional-tv-woes/

Sox Reddit does make solid counterpoints There have been inklings of MLB wanting to expand. This could be good or bad for this scenario because how many cities would have buyers and stadium deals lined up (especially post Vegas A's) while Jerry is still alive? I know that's playing with fire, but all it takes is one owner to say "staying in Chicago" vs. "financing a move and stadium build." A new stadium just ain't happening in his lifetime.

Serious post: If Reinsdorf were to fucking move the Sox away from the fucking South Side of Chicago it would be such a God damn betrayal to the fans of an original American League team. He's already made us endure s%*# show after s%*# show and because his fairytale ending with TLR didn't work because they didn't go all in, he'll take it out on a die-hard fanbase. The absolute audacity of the man.
