Poor Orton. The Bronco's trade his weapons, so when he isn't great Denver will be calling for the two craptastic QB's in Quinn and Tebow.

QUOTE (Ozzie Ball @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 09:09 PM) This year? I would hope 0%. Rushing him like that would be idiotic. I meant A+, my bad.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 07:02 PM) Trayce has hit his 3rd HR of the season. Thompson is being extra awesome right now. If he keeps this up, chances he makes Winston-Salem? QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 08:14 PM) Bad start for Hudson. 4.1 inn 7 hits 8 runs 4 earned (error by Lillibridge) 4 bb 2 k 1 hr Peavy is rubbing off on him, blech. QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 22, 2010 -> 08:16 PM) Another great start for Nevin Griffith. In progress: 7 inn 3 hits 0 runs 2 bb 5 k Hooray good pitching lines!

4/22 GT: Rays vs. White Sox. 7:10 PM Central Time, CSN+2, WSCR 670

This season is annoying right now. -
QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 11:08 PM) Wear a Sox hate, and with marker or something but "S" in front of the logo, and "R" in front of the U so it says "SCRUBS" Better yet, if the Cubs logo is stitched on, take it off and stitch a Sox one on.

I love it...this is one of those baseball moves that is just pure idiocy. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 21, 2010 -> 05:04 PM) I'll take him if they pay his salary and put him in our 5th starter spot. They wont find anyone to take that salary, unless they trade for someone like, oh I dont know, Milton Bradley I'd take him too, but only if they paid for his medication.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 08:11 PM) http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/future-sox...oston.html#more I'll get on the Dobies bandwagon. He's a lefty reliever...Randy Insurance Policy?

I tried Live and 2k10, and Live was the much easier to learn game, and I enjoyed it far more.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 11:26 PM) Glad I discovered this place long before I even knew about WSI actually. Some of the ban stories from old threads here posters told were mind-boggling. I was on WSI for five minutes while I was looking for a Sox form during the Peavy rumor. Glad I found SoxTalk.

Yea, that isn't creepy at all of the high school. God that's disturbing.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 20, 2010 -> 11:37 PM) The one problem with Oz's lineup switcheroo thing he's planning is Jones has four home runs and Paulie five. I'm assuming Kotsay has none. Kotsay better produce, cause he's going to play a heck of a lot more than Andruw with Andruw only going against lefties. Kotsay has 1.

D1 is looking good this year. I'm loving Jones too.

Contracting teams is stupid. Input a hard salary cap, or make teams pay an extra 3 dollars for each dollar above the luxury line.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) I just have that bad feeling that they won't be able to close and that Lebron is gonna get some crap call in the last couple of minutes. But if we could steal this game, it becomes a best-of-5 series with homecourt advantage for us. And Mike Brown will ask why the rules were changed. Aren't the Cavs always to have homecourt advantage?

The Bulls look like they came to shock the world.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 19, 2010 -> 12:46 AM) I don't remember this one at all. Was this a rumor before or after the '07 season? If before, I wouldn't have done it. Crede was coming off a career year prior to 2007. And at that time there was no way of knowing the back problems would be reoccuring. If this trade was proposed after 2007, yes, this would've been a no-brainer. I remember the trade clearly, other than I think the Sox were sending over someone else with Crede. Every single time I see Ervin Santana or Chone Figgins I think of this trade. I want to say it was proposed early 2007, but again, not sure.
-
QUOTE (BobDylan @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 11:14 PM) I'm surprised that it isn't getting much attention. I picked it up the other day because I was bored and I can't put it down. It's a multi-platform game, and I can't think of a game I've played this year that I've enjoyed more. Oh, if you own a PS3 and you haven't played Demon's Souls yet, quit being a p****. And don't give me any garbage about how you don't like RPG's. Play the game. You won't regret it. And you'll have more chest hair when you complete it. I was finally getting very good at it, then I picked up The Show. I'll get back to Demon's Souls eventually.

Joe Crede for Ervin Santana and Chone Figgins. I remember this trade being rumored in 2007 I think. And with the way Crede's health has been since, this would have been a no-brainer. Having Figgins gives you your lead off man (allowing Pierre to bat 9th), and Santana could be a strong 5th starter, or traded to clear room for Hudson. Jon Garland for Jason Hirsch, Taylor Bucholz, and Willy Taveras. This trade would have been horrible if it had been done. Bucholz and Hirsch are both mediocre relievers while Taveras is a crappy version (strike out prone) of Juan Pierre. I'll take O-Cab (and eventually Phegley) over that. Jermaine Dye for Homer Bailey. In retrospective, with how JD imploded last year, this would have been a good deal. Bailey looks like he still has room to improve, but he would have been a fine fifth starter for the Sox. Feel free to add your own old trade rumors.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 10:45 PM) Why would we want Berkman if we're in 3rd-5th place? I think the Sox will eventually be in it at some point. Every team hits a rough patch, and I'm just hoping ours is earlier than everyone elses.

Fact or Fiction: *Beckham hits over 290 on the season Fact, Beckham started last year cold and hasn't played a lot in April yet, so it could be the weather bugging the Georgia boy. I think he will end up going on a tear mid-season to get his average to .290 *Peavy wins 15 games Fact, he showed some return to form last start, and Cy Young pitchers in their primes rarely fall off a large margin. *Jenks finishes the season as closer Fact, I think the Sox will ride it out with Bobby, because if he's bad, then they won't be able to trade him, and Ozzie stands by his guys. *Quentin Hits 30 home runs Fiction, as of now. I think he still has the ability, but his injury history and the way he looks this year make me have my doubts. *Scott Linebrink will be on the roster come august Fact, he'll pitch well the first half, and due to a smaller workload, maybe the second half. Plus, no one will take him and he's expensive to cut. * Freddy Garcia will be the 5th starter come July Fiction. This will be Daniel Hudson. * KW will make a major trade mid-season (A-Gone type of deal) Fact, if you consider Berkman as such. While I'd love to get A-Gon, I have a feeling Theo Epstein will get him for the Sawks. Berkman can be had for far less (thus keeping Hudson) due to his Free Agency or Massive contract. I could see him had for something that does little to drastically impact the Sox farm system. * White Sox make the playoffs Fact, if all of the above happens.

What did we learn? Sox Players = Good Luck Cubs Players = Bad Luck -
QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 18, 2010 -> 09:12 PM) it appears it's either signifying communism or an elite aerial combat exercise. New offensive strategy? But in all seriousness, it probably equates to the Panic Button.
