  1. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 01:27 PM) Yeah it's the internal clock. People who upgraded their hard drive from what I've heard aren't having any problems so far. Basically, if you're is messed up, any games that require trophies will not play. Someone told me a work around until it does get fixed is to go to settings, disable internet and adjust the date and time. Once you do, you can play offline Nah, mine was infected and I swapped out my hard drive. I better be able to play the Show tomorrow after baseball practice... PSN in my sig now.
  2. Well, that game was good at the end of the third and start of the fourth, it just got away from them then. I miss Joakim.
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) This made me laugh. I've yet to see any predictions that didn't include the twinkies as contending for the division. I hate these lame motivational moves. ...most places are picking them as the contender to win. I will go to a Twins game, to tell him he is stupid.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 06:38 PM) Jimmy...
  5. Good piece of work there Joe. Did it dawn on you that this photo sucks? *Bitter move over the Cowley flames being field by him earlier*
  6. For what it's worth, I would easily offer Gordon this contract right now. It's so team friendly in the long run with the options.
  7. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 01:56 AM) To which I respond to some of you..... EAT MY SHORTS! Hmmm, shorts.
  8. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 01:10 AM) I think if PK didn't have such an albatross for his final year contract he would be more marketable. Then again if KW can convince JR to eat maybe a portion of the contract (4-5 mil) then he becomes a little bit more attractive. It might have to be a 3 team blockbuster if the Pads don't budge on the offers KW makes if we go after AGon. Just sayin there may be more than 2 players in this dance. I'm tired of hearing Paulie being badmouthed for his contract. Would you expect Adrian Gonzalez to take a 5 year 60M, because at the time of his contract, Paulie was Adrian Gonzalez or Justin Morneau, whichever you prefer. So you know what? Let's say we get Gonzalez, and sign him to an extension. Chances are his contract will become an albatross too by the end of it. Players that should be entering their primes with bad contracts (The Albatrios) are albatrosses. Players that were overpaid at the time (Linebrink) are albatrosses. Players that took below market value to stay with the team are not. Edit: Intriguing. Kenny initiated the Gonzalez talks. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/news/artic...sp&c_id=cws Merkin takes a shot at SoxTalk.
  9. From the People who brought you Demon's Souls... ...is something very different. http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/14350003/fr...10.html?show=hi For a $40 price tag, I don't think I'll turn this game down.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Mar 1, 2010 -> 12:04 AM) I didn't know Torres was still with the Sox. Is he gonna make the bullpen? Him or Santos probably.
  11. Quick thing I noticed today: I hate when Cops are driving bad/illegally.
  12. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 09:44 PM) If you got an older fat PS3, don't turn on your PS3. Some major s*** is going on causing it to not play any games. This is detrimental to my happiness.
  13. QUOTE (bighurt4life @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) Pretty good list but I think that they should reconsider 1417. Rafael Dolis, P, CHC and, 1418. Maurice Gartrell, OF, CHW. IMO they should at least swap these two guys. Gartrell doesn't have the ceiling but has a lower floor, but good list overall. You are greatness.
  14. QUOTE (Cali @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) The most awkward smile in the history of smiles.... http://www.twitvid.com/24303 I didn't know TCQ could smile.
  15. For what its worth, I wouldn't trade Danks. And if I did, it'd be D1, D2, and Morel. That's it. That being said, I'd be all over anything like Hudson, Flowers, Morel, Viciedo, Torres, and Sergio Santos. Why Santos? Because he could step in as their closer if he really is throwing consistent strikes, which the Pads would probably like because they could unload Heath Bell for more prospects. The other package I think the Padres would want would be Hudson, Flowers, Morel, Mitchell. But if I can get away with Santos/Torres/Viciedo instead, I do in a heartbeat as I want to keep on to D2 (for D1's contract, and because I think he'd be a good 4th outfielder or starter if TCQ becomes a DH) and Mitchell.
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 03:04 PM) It's sad that a marketing ploy such as this worked on me but yeah, that's why I caved and pre-ordered it last night. I love playing in the old time stadiums and the odds of me getting the platinum trophy are next to nothing. I figured I was gonna pay the exact same price to buy it later, so I might as well just get the extra stadiums ahead of time. I really wish they had included LA Coliseum, Shea, Comiskey, Old Yankee, and Tiger Stadium.
  17. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 03:00 PM) Jake Peavy tries selling Adrian Gonzales to Kenny Williams. Guess what Cowley, maybe there was some truth to it after all. I don't like how everywhere is trying to spin this story into something. It's not like Kenny looked at Adrian Gonzalez and said "I'll look into it" and Peavy comes along and says "Dude is a good hitter!" to which Kenny would say "Oh my god it's true!" Fortunately, if we wanted to negotiate with Gonzalez during the trade deal to avoid free agency, having Peavy (and Linebrink) could help him be more willing to come here since he'd be more comfortable.
  18. QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 01:04 PM) He really did lose a lot of weight, wow. That was my thought. I'm actually excited we have him now.
  19. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 01:56 PM) I can see the need to try and sign AJ as the catching will be thin if 1) We trade Flowers and 2) None of the minor league prospects develop as quickly (Cole Armstrong and Don Lucy) are the high AAA candidates with Josh Phegley and Miguel Gonzalez coming up through A/High A. I am concerned both Armstrong and Lucy will not be everyday catchers and the catcher FA market now looks thin if Mauer gets locked up for a long term contract. Both Phegley and Gonzalez are each 2-3 years away. You'd probably be resigning both Paulie and AJ, though to smaller deals. Paulie wuld be a DH that can still play the field, while AJ would still be your catcher while Phegley and Gonzalez develop.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 07:45 AM) From Levine: Shortstop Alexei Ramirez was one player to report to camp underweight. He said he lost five pounds during the winter. How does Alexei lose weight? I was really hoping the Sox put him on a strength program. If he's not getting stronger physically, I would guess he is what he will be offensively. Well, when you're invisible, you can steal a lot of bases.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 12:36 PM) MLB 10 The Show Pre-ordered! Quick Note: The six stadiums are unlocked if you get the platinum trophy. But I probably wouldn't have the patience, so I'm happy I pre-ordered.

    Looking for Help

Guys, I need help. I'm not fat, but I'm not exactly in shape either, and with baseball starting, I'm tired of being unhealthy. Age: 17 Height: 5'11" Weight (fluctuates): 205-215 Diet: Breakfast: God, I rarely have time for this in the morning. Anyone know of anything quick and healthy to make in the morning that wouldn't require a big clean up? I generally get to school at 7, and wake up at 6:30, but I could wake up maybe 15 minutes earlier if need be. Lunch: I generally get a small salad with water and a pickle (baked chips if they don't have pickles that day), since thats what the school offers. Would I be better off making my own lunch and bringing it with me? Dinner: This one is generally out of my hands, as my parents are the ones that buy the groceries. And thats generally a red meat or buttered/baked chicken. Yeah, not good. I've recently switched to grilling some chicken instead of red meat, but the sides don't help (white rice cooked in beef consume, corn & broccoli covered in butter. Snacks: Oh lord, I have a huge snack tooth, and it doesn't help that my dad likes to make sweets non-stop. Anyone know of good, healthy snacks that are also satisfying? Drinks: I've recently switched to mostly water after drinking a lot of pop. Funny how Pepsi tastes like crap after not drinking it for a while. Workout: Ok, this part is sad. I used to go to the gym daily until their price spikes and laying off all the workers I knew coincided with my knee injuries last year. Right now my workout comes solely from fielding ground balls and swinging a bat twice a week in the morning at 7 AM and maybe 3-4 times after school for practice. I just fixed my bike after years of neglect, but how much would it help me burn? Because not only am I trying to burn fat, but build muscle at the same time. I can't run for extended time because the non-stop monotonous pounding on the ground pisses my knees off (probably will be another couple months before this goes away completely) to no end. Free time: Heres where the problem lies. My school schedule is murder this year, and that comes with a lot of homework. Once I get home around 3:20, I have a few hours until baseball open gym or jazz band at 7. But now baseball will be right after school, and generally lasts until 4:30-5. The other problem? I generally come home and sleep because it seems whenever I get my sleep schedule fixed, a huge night of homework comes along that throws it all off again.
  23. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Feb 28, 2010 -> 03:48 AM) Ya, we've touched on this before, but there aren't a ton of guys I'd trade Beckham for. Unless Albert Pujols is the return, there would be nothing but anger from Sox fans. Tim Lincecum? "Why do we need another pitcher!" Chase Utley? "Gordon would become him anyway! Too old!" Prince Fielder? "How did the last fatso turn out?!" Ryan Howard? "He K's more in a season than all of Nellie Fox's career!" etc.
  24. MLBTradeRumors is trying to spin this into a story. Sorry guys, but Beckham isn't gonna be traded. He's the one player on this team, that if traded, would enrage the fan base, even if it were for A-Gon.
  25. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Feb 27, 2010 -> 09:07 AM) I am sorry I appreciate our CPD but as bad as this city is in debt (and I am sure this goes for many other cities also) why the hell do they get a fleet of pimp ass Tahoes to drive around in? We couldnt have found something more efficient than some gas guzzling awesome looking Tahoes. I mean these are luxury vehicles really and they have a s*** load of them looking brand new shiny clean every day. I propose they all take Tesla Roadsters. That'll cut down on fuel.
