  1. Considering Lynn was brought in to be a vet presence, this fucker failed spectacularly. Middleton's cool. Dude's a middle reliever on a vet minimum and showed up mid-downfall. Lynn taught dudes that it's OK to scream at your coaches over cuts of steak? Note: This doesn't absolve anyone on the current roster of anything, but Lynn's s%*# eating grin at the end there is groan worthy.
  2. While there's a decent chance that this is correct, I feel like we need another reporter to verify because @bmags is right that Riordan is indeed a moron.
  3. I love that the first suggested hire (other than Ozzie) is a guy whose most notable coaching move to date is playing Tim Anderson out of position to help out a star studded lineup.
  4. What about the 1986 season? Or was that just a disaster from a personnel standpoint?
  5. Started it Landed a punch Talked s%*# after the game His agent posted a photo of him with boxing gloves on Progressive Field after the figh Like, that's basically the holy grail of "how to get your ass a hefty suspension."
  6. Saw this pointed out on Sox reddit: Did Ramirez think Roberto Perez was disrespecting the game in Rodon's (at that point) perfect game?
  7. I'm not gonna lie, somehow nothing this group has done (yet) has topped the LaRoche saga. Edit: Group of players. How the front office survived that is beyond me.
  8. FWIW: Obviously biased against Ramirez since he's on the other team in this fight, but also, a complete lack of remorse in starting a fucking fight. You know who didn't throw hands? Abreu when Karinchak nailed him in the head. He comforted him. For those that don't remember, that's when TLR thought Cleveland wanted to hit him with the bases loaded and old-man sprinted out of the dugout. Honestly, the boxing gloves photo (even if it's old - his agent still posted it) should probably be taken into account when they dole out the suspension and J-Ram should get one equal in length.
  9. Also, Jose "Respect the Game" Ramirez before yesterday's game. Edit: Context - posted by his agent before the game. Not taken.
  10. He's thrown three innings and made his debut on the 30th.
  11. In that instance, touche and I'll take the L.
  12. It becomes something when every knucklehead wants to bang that drum like it's why he's playing like s%*#. He's playing like s%*# because he's an athletic shortstop who relied on his legs to be a star player and got punched in the fucking knee by a Twins player because Hanser Alberto couldn't field a ball. This follows injuries he had last year. That s%*# piles up. He and the Sox (who can't properly manage an injury to save their lives) deserve all the smoke for that. Seems a bit convenient when you make up arguments in your head that you're able to win against.
  13. Extremely classy, All-American Boy Mickey Mantle? No way. And lest we forget Bartolo Colon, who had a whole secret family. But hey, he hit a home run as a fat pitcher!
  14. Let me rephrase that. "Run it like a business" type owners. But also, Cohen's spending did f***-all except crush Mets fans' dreams even harder. And for all of JR's faults, there isn't a Showtime series about financial crimes he committed.
  15. Well Kyle, you see, according to Jose Ramirez — a man with a $140 million contract — TA is putting their ability to provide for their families at risk.
  16. When we saw the Sox play the Mets my best friend said that Jake Burger makes him think he can play major league baseball and I just started laughing. Makes no sense that he can haul ass like he can, but he gets the most out of his body.
  17. So, in the end they either should have kept Ricky or hired Bochy. Dear lord.
  18. If TA kaboooooooms! a water cooler, then it'll be ok for him to hit around .250. Otherwise, no dice.
