  1. Build that trade value, assorted White Sox players!
  2. StatCast isn't giving me A ball EVs.
  3. Was kinda sad I didn't get to see Quintana last night. Then got more sad when Verlander was good.
  4. .400 in A-ball, .468 in A+ ball. Completely sustainable.
  5. Some dudes started the briefest "Let's go White Sox!" chant and a Mets fan remarked "the rightfielder is killing us" regarding Colas' defense.
  6. The Sox should draft Jac Caglianone so they can get two chances to f*** up his development.
  7. My Cardinals friends fans during our series: "We get to watch our two terrible organizations." Me: "What the f*** are you talking about?"
  8. @Y2Jimmy0 enjoyed the pod with Callis, especially the part about Oppur.
  9. Ranking farm systems based on draft class one week later is hilarious.
  10. I really wanted them to get wild.
  11. Didn't James say he's in Kannapolis? Which feels wild. It'd be exciting if he succeeds, but would be wild.
  12. I'm assuming he's at shortstop.
  13. I feel real dumb because when I initially saw they drafted him on the draft tracker, I saw 4YR-SO and my brain just saw "4YR-S_" I thought we punted with a senior as our #2 pick for savings. Getting a sophomore (who is apparently talented, just coming off injury) to sign for slot value instead of returning to LSU (where he could possibly up his value) seems like a pretty sound gamble from both sides.
  14. I'm personally at the point where I'm hoping Ramos/Sosa/Gonzalez becomes the answer.
  15. Nunez gets another hit. Can't wait for the draft picks to hit the ACL.
  16. Another reason I could see Giolito pulling a Chapman with a new GM. Aaron Nola also feels like a Sox rebound contract. I'm just praying for rapid ascension of Montgomery and Ramos, in addition to Sosa and Colas clicking. Cause signing cannon fodder won't cut it.
  17. However unlikely it is, I'd say there's a non-zero chance a new GM could sign Giolito in the 2024 offseason if Katz is still around. I only think this after reading Vinnie Duber's piece on Gio: https://allchgo.com/2023/07/10/with-first-half-in-the-books-time-to-find-out-if-lucas-giolito-white-sox-wishes-come-true/ As @Y2Jimmy0 has pointed out on the FutureSox pod, new CBA rules make it so that tanking multiple years doesn't make sense anymore. So bringing back Gio (again, if he's open to it) isn't the worst plan. It's not pretty, but I could see this: 1. Gio 2. Cease 3. Kopech 4. Toussaint 5. Martin Schlotens / Banks / Crochet are longmen, especially to build Crochet's arm strength.

My guess is that his shoulder is finally healthy.
  19. Hey, Adisyn Coffey! It's fun to pull for the "picked because they're cheap" guys

  21. I vote that we change it up. If they lose, you keep making threads.
