  1. That's what makes it funny. They thought canning Grifol, Tosar, Paddy, etc. would maybe satiate the fans. But the losing has continued. Fans want blood and the national media is dunking on Reinsdorf harder than the #FireGarPax era.
  2. They won't. But when Jerry gets embarrassed, he finds himself a fall guy. The problem is they already canned most of the top candidates.
  3. I wonder who the sacrificial lamb will be since they've been just as s%*# post-Grifol, post-Eloy and Moncada's played, what, 12 games? My guess is Katz. But you know, that won't explain the offense and defense that the Wunderkind has been lauded* for developing. I guess they have to can...Barfield?
  4. It feels like so many players come here and develop the same fucking problems. They don't look like the players they were in college, other farm systems or even in the Sox minors when they were powering themselves on raw talent. They get to the majors and turn into a homogeneous black-and-white blob of suck.
  5. Sir, are you implying that the 1940s Dodgers style of play is no longer applicable?
  6. I've repeatedly said that the 2020 core is racking up wins if they had a competent organization in charge of them.
  7. They wouldn't have thrown in a line about Hahn declining to comment if he was a source. If that line wasn't there, sure. But you don't go out of your way to throw that in.
  8. Anyone that talks s%*# I'm like "Sir, I hate and mock them more than you ever could."
  9. My grandmother-in-law talked so much s%*# when the Orioles played the Sox and I was like "do you think I expect the Sox to win?"
  10. He's turned such a blind eye and so hands off that he ignored calls from people to do a real GM search to promote Getz. The article basically goes "JR runs the team like a family business and is so hands on that he gifted the GM job to Getz.."
  11. During both offseasons, Getz has proudly declared they won't spend money. He's the ultimate company man for JR.
  12. In retrospect, the fact that the team showed TA and Giolito the City Connects before they showed JR speaks volumes.
  13. Kenny checked out during the rebuild. Hahn tries to introduce technology and analytics, but the organization old guard is afraid of electricity. Kenny pops in randomly to be like "take this draft pick" or veto trades. Team turns the corner in 2020 and Kenny announces a more active role "like the (Michael Jordan) unretirement. It caught people off guard." KW Jr. and Haber fought a lot and Jr. basically offered dissenting views Hinch never made it to a Chicago interview because JR just handed the keys to TLR, despite people close to Hinch telling him to take the Sox job
  14. The section about Kenny deciding to get more involved once the team got good again + JR coming back is just...oy.
  15. Getz is the guy who lists 100 different skills in a resume, but you know he started listing things like "baseball IQ," "student of the game," and "don't rely on sabermetrics like other baseball executives."
  16. Watching Q pitch meaningful ball at Citi Field beats watching a team assembled by Chris Getz, that's for sure.
  17. Can't have them setting a bad example for Miguel Vargas
