  1. And after getting into second on a shallow bloop!
  2. I was about to get really hype for bases loaded TA against a lefty, but the umpire decided to extend the strike zone upwards.
  3. I just do not understand what DeRosa was thinking.
  4. Yes, striking out Mike Trout. Very familiar with this Ruiz.
  5. I personally expected him to maintain a 2:1 HR-to-strikeout ratio throughout the entire season.
  6. Ah f***, missed the "original" part. He juuuuust sneaks by that.
  7. Haven't seen him hustle like that since he died and went to heaven.
  8. I enjoy this article because it misses Leury Garcia, who should barely claim the #10 spot over Jose Ramirez. https://www.mlb.com/news/longest-tenured-active-players-with-1-club
  9. Leury had more MLB games last year with a 39 WRC+ than Romy has MLB games in his career. I've liked Leury over the years, but man cratered as hard as you possibly can last year and he's still looked rough this spring. If he didn't have a contract, there'd be no question that you drop him. Take defense / speed in the OF. Stop making the pitchers suffer.
  10. I honestly have no idea what my initial reaction would be. Joy? Anger? Elation? Confusion? I'd immediately log onto Soxtalk, that's for sure.
  11. Unrelated to Lonzo. With Jordan selling his majority stake, there's part of me that wants to see the fantasy of Jordan owning the Bulls (and maybe Sox?) come to fruition. The other part of me wants to see him stay far, far away from owning either team. I only want him to exist as a player or minority owner for either franchise.
  12. What the absolute f*** is wrong with this man's knees?
  13. Kershaw couldn't get insurance coverage.
  14. Design-a-Banner night with Bennett Karoll.
  15. Bring back Joe McEwing. Kids run the bases, but are only allowed to go on McEwings signal. Also, Leury is running the bases with them.
  16. Decided to try my hand at being Caulfield. Since Carroll isn't a FA, this should be compared against Robert's six year, $50M contract. Carroll's deal can reach 7/$134. Robert's can reach 8/$88M. Throw on Robert's $26M signing bonus and the $26M penalty, now Robert is $140M. There we go everyone, Luis Robert is officially our first $100M+ contract. Thanks Caulfield!
  17. What power does Japan have against the Italian Americans and a Nespresso Machine?
  18. This one was so much more impressive it's embarrassing.
  19. I retract my earlier Smoltz comment. Benetti explaining the difference between dawg and dog to him was top tier comedy.
