  1. I feel like Zach has shown that he couldn't lead a team of Ayo, Coby, Terry, Pat and Tony Bradley to the playoffs. I'm trying to sell everyone else. DDR, Vuc, Caruso, Jones, Drummond, Dragic, Javonte. If you can get something for them, sell. I just don't want to settle for Westbrook + two far off Lakers firsts for Zach.
  2. I'm confused, we're agreeing on this. I'm just talking about whether or not he has the most value at the trade deadline or the offseason.
  3. Neglecting to mention Frank Thomas seems intentional.
  4. To expand on this, add a Hawk Harrelson soundboard to the goose. Home run call? The goose is belching fire and yelling "PUT IT ON THE BOARD!" "YOU'VE GOTTA BE BLEEPING ME" after a bad review. "A Kansas City special" whenever Pedro Grifol appears on the field, the Royals do anything, or a ball sneaks through, even if it they're not facing the Royals. Another feature: The Kaskade Hotbox A room filled with edibles and joints. Playing non-stop Kaskade to remind us of the brief shining moment in White Sox history. Leury Garcia is found here.
  5. After the club released the renderings of the Buffalo Wild Wings Experience* on the 500 Club, I figure Soxtalk can figure out ways to improve the fan experience at the stadium. Non-serious answers only. *Credit to @Snopek for this descriptor.
  6. Oh most definitely. Trade Zach now if you get a good package for him, but I'm not against holding him, letting him stat pad without DDR, Vuc and Lonzo (who the hell is gonna take shots from him? Coby and Pat?), and let him drive up his offseason price.
  7. I have returned to the sell (almost) everyone boat. It's so insane that with Lonzo, this team operates as greater than the sum of its parts. Without, far below. I'd keep Lonzo, Ayo and Pat since you're not getting much for them. Feel out the market on Zach - with DDR and Vuc gone he might get more in the offseason. After that, hope you get to retain the draft pick (prayers for Wemby or Scoot) and then rebuild around a young core (sigh...again) of Lonzo, Ayo, Pat, Terry, (maybe) Coby and see where it goes from there.
  8. Just imagine if the Dodgers kept Bauer around. They'd be reviled.
  9. When they said there were more signings coming from Venezuela, they weren't kidding.
  10. I don't know why, but I find this sentence hilarious. "Did you murder this person?" "No, I did not." It turned out that Orenthal was indeed a murderer.
  11. I truly miss the days when the most interesting thing about Bauer was that he flew his drone into the White Sox newly installed scoreboard.
  12. Signing free agent starting pitchers early in free agency is a mistake!
  13. All 3 (and Helton) deserve it and the BBWAA needs to do a voter purge.
  14. The James Beard semi-finalists being announced reminded me that James Beard the player exists and I'm very sad he's busting. He had more walks than hits last year (51 vs. 42) and stole 28 bases. 30% of the time he was on base, he swiped a bag! But a .165 average ain't gonna do it.
  15. No, it's gonna last longer. Because now, unless all five starting pitchers (roulette for whoever #5 is) are lights out all year, there will be people going "Katz would have figured out Clevinger and reverted him back to Cleveland form!" Unless he remains on the roster in which case that's just gonna be the story all year.
  16. Because it's the Rockies, I have no idea what Freeland's trade value would be, but anyone got thoughts on that?
  17. Meth lab. He currently plays in Missouri + it'd help address the budget restrictions.
  18. I don't think they knew, but I think James put it best: They only put themselves in a situation where someone like Clevinger jumps at taking the first team-favorable contract put in front of him because they want to go bargain hunting.
  19. Yes, cases like Carlton Fisk getting screwed over are why guys like Clevinger can slide under the radar.
