Yankees Stadium famously is a ghost town.

Essentially, this

Now that Marco Paddy and four random scouts are gone, things are gonna turn around.

I'm waiting for Colas to go wreck shop with some competent org while we have to watch Zach DeLoach.

My grandma-in-law has been an Orioles fan since their inception and has been talking MAD s%*#. So yeah, I preened this one.

Will the Sox prioritize Moncada over youngsters?
Quin replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I would say no, but, Amaya is getting priority so maybe? -
It's Getz or JR, and JR has at least shown some penchant for not wanting to be a national laughingstock. It's the only time he fires people. If the Wunderkind can't turn this around by next year, it's more likely that he gets jettisoned into the sun than JR sells, even if both have small chances.

This. It'd be like the Sox hiring a VP of player development from the Astros.
-
Equally important, Lunhow's job before the Astros was the VP of player development for a World Series winner that had homegrown talent.

If the next guy played a crucial role in the KW/Hahn era and loses ~120 games, sure.

He's led a team to the worst season in baseball history, sans the Cleveland Spiders, who were essentially a AAA team before that existed. He, like everyone from the old front office, needs to be exorcised before they can move forward.

Chasing Records — 121 losses, modern MLB record

Appreciate the work as always, James & co.

I was unaware Frank had trouble speaking

As a prospect fan, I am not at all jazzed about Vargas or any other floundering prospect with MLB struggles. The ceiling is what, Kelenic? Aim higher.
-
Don't you see? Of every GM ever in the history of baseball, Getz walked into a uniquely challenging position. While they all managed to avoid being the worst ever, he really had no path.
-
Having a nearly 2-to-1 ratio of players to wins is a fascinating stat.

You laugh.

It's September and they still can't format those tweets right. And the Mets are doing dope animations. Let's go Quintana!

They threw out the Ouija board after using it to hire Tony.

1) Needs anything to fire up the fanbase 2) With Thorpe hurt, Zavala hitting .186 and Wilson being horrible, and Miguel Vargas being New Maldonado, Getz needs to show fans that he can be trusted to get something in return for an ace pitcher before he deals Crochet this summer.

I am increasingly jaded and appreciate your context.

Dude has an OBP of .420 this year at both levels combined. His BABIP is skyhigh, but he's also walking more than striking out. Talk about literally any of that before "he leads the league in personality." Yoan Moncada dropped a fucking bop, the team seemingly had fun about it, and to this day it infuriates fans.

If he's the guy in charge of making David Eckstein, winning players, he sucks too. Knights are 28th in OPS in the AAA despite playing in a bandbox. Barons are 24th in OPS in AA. Dash are 25th in OPS in High-A Cannon Ballers are actually semi-successful, ranking 7th in Low-A in OPS. He's just another guy with a (albeit, minor) Royals connection that Getz brought in despite the fact that the Rice University baseball team has been horrible during Janish's tenure.
-
See, I get excited about him, then Paul Janish says something stupid like this: Personality isn't a baseball skill you idiot.
