I'm just gonna keep repeating a number of things: I've become convinced that Tony is only a Hall of Famer because of steroids and STL having Pujols/Molina I finally understand why Rick Ankiel's career went sideways.

I mean, considering the team Tony was gifted and the first half of the GarPax tenure, hard disagree. TLR was given a supposed-World Series contender. Pax built the Baby Bulls and GarPax gave us the Rose-Noah-Thibs era and the Jimmy/Rose/Pau team that should have taken out the Cavs. The collapse started with the Three Alphas. Then it absolutely cratered.

Leury will be involved.

I'm guessing Sosa, Vera, Colas and Montgomery are safe unless a big fish can be had. 1) The FO clearly likes Sosa unlike TLR 2) Vera just got here 3) I think people are buying into a manufactured Instagram controversy way to much with Colas relative to his performance. 4) Montgomery is self explanatory. I will add Kath to that list.

Ramos, Thompson, Dalquist, and probably Yolbert all look like likely trade chips.

Re-sign Abreu. Cold April. Ron makes thread about Abreu's age / performance as Father Time is undefeated. Abreu begins to warm up in May. Someone bumps Ron's thread. Abreu gets red hot in June. All of us: "Yeah, we have a log jam, but like, we need this bat." Repeat the cycle until Abreu gets a number retirement ceremony, statue, etc. Begin cycle anew with Andrew Vaughn and the next White Sox first baseman.

You can tell this team feeds off energy, just like they did under Ricky. When they get a couple runs - boom, floodgates. Especially homers. But when they can't get those going, it feels insurmountable.

Cease, Kopech, Rodon, Lynn all thrived. I'm not panicking over Giolito's return from injury and COVID, especially after his last two starts and two seasons where he got Cy Young votes. We've been over Keuchel falling apart with the sticky stuff ban. With the training staff being a dumpster fire, I'm not holding the rotating door of the bullpen against him, but Lopez's reinvention is amazing. And getting sub-4 ERAs out of Lambert and Banks is impressive.

Outside of Katz I want a clearing house so badly.
