Hey! I have something in common with Eloy! -

I think I'm on the "if we can trick a team into giving up quality for Eloy, he's the one to go" train. -

Want: Oscar Colas Get: Adam Haseley -
To be fair to Tex, he was actually super down on them from the get go.

The mets are fun as shit. It may be bandwagon as hell but they're gonna be my NL team since I live here and most of my die-hard baseball following friends in the city are Mets fans, including my brother-in-law.

At this point I'm convinced Herm was actually a cleric who just channeled healing magic while walking around the stadium.

Honestly, it makes me sad. He's a god awful modern day manager that infuriates me with every decision and its entirely in his control, but somehow it makes me sad. For him, for the players, for us. I think I'm at the 4th stage of grief with this team.

Menechino fuming right now. -
Split this off from the Fire Tony thread. As infuriating as he is as a manager, I hope he's doing OK. Listening to Fegan talk about Tony after games on the FutureSox podcast really hammered home that these games are just taking a lot out of him. Not saying that as a joke either. These games are stressful to watch. At his age, I can't imagine the strain of these games are taking on his body.

A good hitting coach would adjust

MLB owners: "who needs two A-ball clubs?"

Perfect opportunity for TA to make connections and recruit, under a different front office and ownership.

My wishful thinking is that Project Birmingham is a pseudo-audition for Jirschele for at least bench coach. But I know that instead, we'll get Tony Year 3, Miguel Cairo, or Duncan's kid.

Tony's Men Sleep

Abreu might legit be a better manager (in a player-manager capacity) than Tony if you have him a legit bench coach
-
Worst part about the TLR hire is Reinsdorf and La Russa thought it would work. They wanted to cement Tony's legacy. Instead they've razed it to the ground.
-
I still can't believe the Tony stans that we're flaunting the "Tony's boys don't quit" nonsense. Not only was that slogan made for a fun team managed by Renteria, but much like La Russa, this team has absolutely no energy.

Let us strive mightily to finish a bottle of tequila.

The reason I didn't include these is because these four were/are all right there and pretty much within their control.
