GT 6/14 White Sox (28-31) V Tigers (24-36) 6:10 Chgo

It was a sequence of comments, so, yes. Look man, I'm trying not to death spiral here. -
Jirschele's just about the only route that makes sense. Would he be over his head? Maybe. But might he make logic based decisions? Hopefully more than Tony.
-
I'm guessing he used the Infinity Gauntlet. I use humor to mask the pain.

Menechino was the 2020 hitting coach. Before him was Todd Steverson. -

Unfortunately I can't recommend any off the top of my head, because I grew up in Kankakee and was either too young to remember the places we stopped for pizza or my parents would stop at famous places that specialized in deep dish (where I would usually get thin crust, because I didn't like deep dish until I was, like, 18). We did have a number of places in Kankakee that had good thin crust with - Sammy's and Johnny's - but you're not getting down there for pizza. If you're ever in NYC, Emmett's is one of those "opened by a Chicagoan" places that serves both kinds of pizza + Italian beef and their thin crust is A+. For local recs, I'mma leave it to others in this thread while I continue to bad mouth the monstrosity that is St. Louis pizza, specifically Imo's.

I'm upset that I can't genuinely say La Russa after watching the Trestman and Boylen clown shows. Like I even want to try and argue that Tony is squandering talent, whereas Boylen was rebuilding, but man, Boylen put a fucking punch clock in the gym and called timeouts to "coach" with 40 seconds left in game.
-
See, on first glance - it looks like it could be Chicago thin crust. Then you notice the fucking weird cheese And the crust is actually cracker thin, not just thin. People that say deep dish isn't pizza haven't tried the unholy abomination that is St. Louis style pizza. Also, since I'm dragging it so much, I should note that their other local foods are the bomb.

Also, this is beautiful.

I have absolutely no clue what post you're talking about. Here's a wikipedia entry: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago-style_pizza#Thin-crust_pizza Yeah, see, Chicago thin crust is what you want. Imagine like, half the pizza is that. St. Louis pizza meanwhile is like the inbred cousin of Chicago thin crust - it looks the same, but god it's so fucking awful in every way. It's like Tony La Russa made pizza from his time in Chicago, but only from memory.

Chicago thin crust >>> Everything But really anything over St. Louis style.

Chapelli with four hits, including 2 doubles.

What's more likely: A soft tossing vet who relied on every advantage (including defense) falls apart right when the sticky stuff ban happens OR he continues to look fine in 2021, then just starts listening to the new coach and despite a 9 year career completely collapses? Dude lost it right when the ban happened, not when Katz got hired. All the other starters improved. It's not rocket science.
-
Keuchel is definitely the sticky stuff, I'm not holding that against Katz.

I'm old enough to remember being told that Tony would have this team mentally focused and in tip top shape for baseball cause he's a Hall of Famer.
-
Hmmm ? Still doesn't excuse his shit decision making in games ?♂️.

I forget who recommended the CHGO podcast, but man is it cathartic.

I don't know if I've ever missed a staff member more than Herm.

How long before the players only meeting?

If the Sox fan base is one thing, it's emotive. When they make the playoffs, the crowd is insane — even for play in games. We love anyone associated with the franchise in any positive aspect whatsoever. And after going through a rebuild, we saw Renteria blow it in the ALDS. Had the best opening for a manager in baseball. Then Tony comes in, with legal trouble, and has shown that it's his way or the highway and his way has repeatedly lost them games. Unless this team goes on a tear, Tony traded a story book ending for a brutal summer of White Sox fans rightfully reaming him every single home game.
