  1. Well, according to Harold, pitchers love Maldonado. I only care about Crochet and Fedde, here's who caught them. Crochet: Lee - 8, Maldonado - 7 (including his 3 worst starts of the season). Lee has caught his last 6 starts. Fedde: Lee - 9, Malonado - 5
  2. We have unlocked Maldonado's presence.
  3. Pedro has this uncanny ability to make pitching changes at least 3 batters too late.
  4. Stepped out, decided to rewind to see how the Sox scored. I just saw Robert at-bats, one on and figured it'd be a homer. I was not ready.
  5. You're carrying a pool for Getz here. Getz said the culture starts with him and he leads with that he doesn't like the team. Would you like it if your boss said he didn't like your team? Would it boost morale? s%*# talking the AL Central is a dumb, unforced error. Bannister is giving dividends so far. Barfield we'll wait on that, because right now we know that he picked Fletcher over McCarthy. He spoke about how he'd build a great defensive juggernaut that'd pull pitchers in. They're the worst defensive team. "Getz is like a mouse who got devoured by the snake in a cage," is a real weird way to say "accepted a promotion that he didn't deserve based on his previous performance." Sure, we'd all do that, but if he was a "mouse" he wouldn't have been talking with such bravado. He's a dog that caught the wheel, not a mouse.
  6. Bannister is so good his improvement of Sox pitchers transcends time and space.
  7. If for some awful/stupid reason Lee wasn't available to catch, I'd rather have Danny Mendick (as the emergency catcher) pinch hit for Maldonado than have Maldonado hit.
  8. Well, Paul DeJong isn't married to Rosario Dawson. There's the problem.
  9. I often think of this quote about Eckstein from JR He could field. We know cause dreaded analytics loved him defensively in Anaheim. Also...he could hit? I wonder what David Eckstein thought about catching random strays. David Eckstein is literally married to a Star Wars character. Lucas' wife supposedly owns a sizable chunk of the team. Fucking embrace Star Wars, Jerry. That means embrace technology.
  10. Everyone knows that it's great for culture when the GM says "I don't like our team" and then assembles the worst fielding team in the majors, the worst offensive team in the majors, and the 28th worst pitching team. All while on track to be the worst team in history. Edit: And he did all this while s%*# talking the division that proceeds to whoop their ass.
  11. 6. What organizations have bad reputations among players? (Multiple answers allowed)
  12. I think that outside of Crochet and Robert, Korey Lee is my favorite storyline for so many reasons this year. One of Hahn's last acquisitions, mocked after his horrible stint last year (I also ragged on him). Absolutely wins a job out of spring training, but Getz signed the worst catcher in the league on top of trading for a vet who hadn't played in a year (for understandable reasons). Stassi hasn't played yet because of injuries. Lee massively outplays Maldonado, who is still the worst catcher in baseball. He even looks like he could compete with Quero to be catcher of the future. Pedro: "Team is fucking flat." Lee: "Ok. We disagree." Pedro: Continues to play Maldonado in bad situations. Fans: Beg for Korey Lee while running the #VoteMaldy campaign to embarrass the team.

    6/8 Games

Start Schultz in games, draft Jac Caglianone as a two-way player (most drafts have him going as purely a slugger) and have him piggyback Schultz.
  14. Probably a cliche, especially cause it's from a sports sitcom, but the line "it's their (fans) team, we're just borrowing it for a little white," from Ted Lasso slots in perfectly here. Barring horrendous luck, the manager/owner/chairman/etc. of your favorite team will change.

Prospects need to play in all environments. Birmingham is rougher for hitters than Charlotte and vice versa for pitchers. Chicago is supposedly good for hitters, so might as well let the pitchers learn in a crucible against shittier competition.
  16. Saw this video on the Sox subreddit and it lives rent free in my head RDT_20240609_161014.mp4

The starting pitching log jam is a good thing to have, but also, I feel like they can start moving some dudes to Charlotte.
