June 2nd Chicago White Sox @ Milwaukee Brewers GDT
Quin replied to SoCalChiSox's topic in 2024 Season in Review
On one hand, I could make a point about WSI vs. here, about how there are differing opinions in sports, about how you could hold your own. On the other hand: -
Schriffen says he was aiming at “Sportscasters”
Quin replied to Chick Mercedes's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Jason very clearly loves/loved the Sox — it was after all, his actual dream job — he was just a pro on the mic. There were little slips during that opening series where it felt like he was calling for the Sox. He needs a Stacey King-type as his color guy to be the bombastic homer. Sox fans are used to getting color from the play by play guy. -
Schriffen says he was aiming at “Sportscasters”

If you listened to Jason call non-Sox games the past few years, it was clear that the (already very good) broadcast would get better once Steve retired, cause Steve's heart wasn't in it for another awful team. -

If we're pulling in random incidents that have nothing to do with today, Tommy Pham is stone in a glass house. -

Lost amongst the fighting is Greg calling Nastrini "Pastrami" and I can't stop laughing. -

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt since the team sucked, but nah. I'm tapped out after this. -

He tried, but Schriffen and the campfire milkshake started yelling "WE AIN'T TAKING THAT," so Tommy had to look outward. -

But is he worse than the dirt at the 78th? -

I just saw Schriffen's call on Pham...trying to start a fight?...and hahahahahahahaha hahaha. To both of them, calm down. Tommy Pham acted like someone beat him in fantasy football. -
Benintendi hurts himself on a HR, going to IL, Colas up
Quin replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
So I fixed this one for you — this across all platforms that used to auto embed tweets, not just SoxTalk (we're having this issue at work). Once you change the URL and then hit enter after the tweet. It's stupid and frustrating, but X gonna take from ya. -

Erase x.com in the link and replace it with Twitter.com -
Sweet mercy. Yeah, I'm down with savage being a thing, but I like it being reserved for lefty mashers.

White Sox player goes on the IL Pedro: So anyway, he's been hurt for a while. -
I went and looked at the quote and Grifol led off with video. Ozzie never looking at video to reflect on mistakes would explain a lot.

Sox trade Cristian Mena to Arizona for OF Dominic Fletcher

Pedro's handling of rookies is malpractice at best. -

Don't worry, Dominic Fletcher will rescue us. -
Dallas Keuchel catching strays. I know you're talking about Rodon, but apparently, Tanner Banks was the only lefty starter in 2023 and Keuchel the only lefty in 2022.

Ramos optioned to AAA, corresponding move before Friday's game

I think the rel play here is to get Sosa enough frequent flier miles to cover the rest of his travel expenses for the year.
