I mean, in that case, trainer needs to step in.

Too busy shooting music videos from like, 5 years ago.

A new GM might have cleared house of the training staff, but c'est la vie.
-
Here's the way I see it: - One player has repeated soft tissue, no contact injuries: It's a them problem. - Multiple players: The training staff is s%*#

Because it reflects a philosophy that echoes the previous regime (sign old, bad players for amounts that add up due to past reputation), it fails to live up to the "help pitchers" line that Getz repeated ad nauseum ("restore the trust" as well), and it contributes to blocking Lee and possibly Quero.

Not to be pedantic, but also Stassi. You could argue that it makes the Maldonado signing better — because otherwise they'd probably be rolling with Lee + Perez/Hackenberg, but they also spent $3,260,000 too much on Maldonado and the more Lee performs, the more it shows.

Colas better not look at any rare cosmic events if he knows what's good for him.

Props to Fletcher Start Lee Banish Maldonado

I mean, Naylor was the harbinger of doom for the rebuild, so why not?

Is this an Ankiel moment for Allen?

Yeah, it plays different with Montgomery and Ramos — they need time in the minors still. The other guys? They're not as crucial to the team's future so might as well see what you got.

It's gonna be funny when he's sent to AAA or they cut Max Stassi for Marty Two Hits

The best part is that there's no reward for tanking. They can't pick higher than 10th and they can't pick in the competitive balance round, so it's not like they get pick #31. I think Bmags is saying they're selling moves like DeJong and Maldonado as "we're trying to compete" when there's no point cause they're horrid when now is the exact time that they should see if they have anything in their guys like Sosa, Colas, Lee and, until this past week, Rodriguez.

Absolute deserved shade thrown by the Guardians

Madrigal was traded for the best/second best closer in the game at the time (with Liam). Liam was down to move to a "pitch whenever" role since Kimbrel is one of those guys that needs the 9th, but TLR did the opposite. And, once again, Nick Madrigal has sucked since leaving the Sox.

JR will spend everything to fix up a beat up 2002 car on its last legs vs. buying a new one

The house has already collapsed and the property value has plummeted.

I think the current Knights work specifically for Charlotte, but there is part of me that wishes they'd instead go with some form of their Caballeros jerseys full time. Makes no sense for a team in Charlotte, but it's amazing. The Dash I have a soft spot for because it's a punny name.

I think the Sox affiliate branding is pretty great, but when a minor league team decides to in the opposite direction it needs to really lean into the silly. Great slate today with the Jumbo Shrimp, Trash Pandas (top tier MiLB logo), Grasshoppers and Green Jackets

"But he was left a dumpster fire to deal with so it's not his fault" Look at the FA tracker on Fangraphs and Maldonado sticks out like a sore thumb as an atrocious catcher signing. https://www.fangraphs.com/roster-resource/free-agent-tracker

Ooooh, is Crochet going to be the new fall guy when it comes to culture? God damn do I feel bad for him.
