  1. QUOTE (Reddy @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 11:04 PM) haha it's not ridiculous man. the types of people who commit crimes like this do it because they want to have power in their lives. more than that, they want to "mean" something, and be "remembered". when the news shows the types of images it has this week ad nauseum, it just shows other crazies that this is the way to find that meaning. it gives them what they want and adds fuel to the fire. Then lets just not f***ing show it? We'll sweep everything under the rug.
  2. You know what? f*** this week. http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/20...down-mit/64379/ Updated 11:21 p.m.: MIT issued an emergency alert at 10:48 on Thursday night reporting shots fired on the university campus. MIT's school newspaper, The Tech, reports, "Shots fired near 32 Vassar St (Stata Center), police officer down. Please stay inside." That report is backed up by CBS News's Bonney Kapp who reports hearing "officer down" on the police scanner just before the MIT alert went out. The Tech followed up a few minutes later, reporting that the injured officer was from MIT Police and was being taken to Mass. General Hospital. For now, details are scarce, but the suspect is on the loose and considered armed and extremely dangerous. This is a developing story. We'll update you as new information comes in.
  3. QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 10:01 AM) You've gotta be s***ting me. All those places within a half mile? Whoever laid out this town is a f***ing idiot.
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 12:01 AM) Like Steve's sources, I would like to be spectacularly wrong. I just can't come up with a realistic scenario, outside of injury, in which they lose 4 times in a series. Nate Robinson enters Beast Mode. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 18, 2013 -> 12:28 AM) Lakers win. They're actually the 7th seed now. I might've given 'em a chance against the Spurs with Kobe. Yeah, with Kobe they might have had a shot. But no way now. Also, Dwight's speech sounded incredibly fake.
  5. Evacuating a five mile radius... I pray this is just an accident.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) Not really... Unless he was getting paid $4 million a year, there's no real reason to think Boozer is a good value. The only thing I can applaud Boozer for the past two seasons is that he's been healthy. That's about it. And that he rebounds, forms what is likely the best big man passing duo with Joakim, and can still score more reliably than Taj.
  7. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:36 PM) Boozer leads the East and is 4th in theNBA for double doubles. If he was on a small deal, Bulls fans everywhere you give praise to St. Boozer
  8. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 05:25 PM) That is awesome. I wonder if teacher coulda got in trouble if any of the children told their parents they prayed. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) Junior High aged. I had been forced to pray so many times throughout my public school career that I was shocked to eventually learn that it wasn't allowed. Don't worry Jake it's awesome.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 05:07 PM) Can we resist the urge to turn this into an agenda thread? There are plenty of other places that can be done. He has to turn every thread into one. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 05:14 PM) I am in awe of people who run directly towards the blast as their first instinct. Those people are amazing. Just absolutely amazing.
  10. Reposting this. http://new.livestream.com/quidditch/worldcup The Lost Boys vs. Bowling Green State University game is something that is now universally being accepted as the best quidditch match of all time. The video quality could be better...the audio was the result of the microphones breaking and having to use a web cam mic. We needed a better connection, causing the video quality to go from HD to non-HD at times. But the LB vs. BGSU game was amazing. It lasted around 3 times the average game length and featured both teams giving their all on the field. A Lost Boys player played with a broken hand (which we later found out was his shooting hand). BG was hurting from hard fouls all day long from numerous teams. Just. Wow. (Yeah, I know this sounds nerdy, but whatever)
  11. Both TCQ and Greinke were stupid. That being said, I like TCQ and don't like Greinke, so I don't feel sad for Greinke. He talked s*** to a guy who broke his hand on his bat he was so mad.
  12. http://new.livestream.com/quidditch/worldcup I'll be the play-by-play announcer for the quidditch World Cup on Sunday.
  13. Also, lets say the Lakers go crazy and Dwight says Kobe needs to be gone so he can be the star. Do they amnesty him? Then, who would want the Bulls trying to claim him?
  14. I feel for Kobe. He probably will murder Dwight in his sleep now.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 12, 2013 -> 02:53 AM) Time to trade Thornton to the Royals for Johnny Giavotella (sp). That's the trade we want. Throw in some money if we need to. ...what?
  16. Know a good reason pitchers shouldn't hit? They looking f***ing stupid on the basepaths in those jackets.
  17. Nigel Williams-Gross is the only not idiot in that bunch. Kennedy Meeks is an idiot thinking he'd go up 3-0 real quick, let alone 1-0. This kid is a glorious idiot. Because of these comments it wouldn't even get to 11-5. It'd be over at 3-0 when MJ destroys the kid's spirit. Dakari Johnson clearly thinks size > skill. Probably couldn't beat Nate Robinson. Wayne Selden seems like he knows he needs the luckiest buckets ever, so he's not too dumb. Harrison is a dumbass. Walker doesn't understand Jordan's competitiveness Hollis-Jefferson has delusions of grandeur. MJ would throttle them all today, let alone in his prime.
