This is for Bmags and danman. And I guess greg as well. Speaking of which, where the f*** has greg been? T-shirt design getting sold at the Mizzou Quidditch tournament.

Does it look ok if a girl wears a black skirt with pale legs?

QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Feb 15, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) The only thing I didn't like about The Cave is you end up backtracking a lot, and you can interact with puzzles that you're not supposed to be on. Other than that it was pretty fun. I love Double Fine games. Has anyone played Brutal Legend? it's another one of their games coming to Steam soon. Brutal Legend was fantastic when I played it. If you like metal at all, play it. If you don't, it'll be less fun but still awesome.

I just want to point out that someone mentioned that you either need a genius front office that makes bold moves and cited the Thunder and Spurs OR a superstar in the draft. Yes, the Spurs front office is run by geniuses, but, um, Tim Duncan is the reason they have 4 Championships. That was a luck into superstar draft. Same with OKC.

QUOTE (southside_hitman @ Feb 14, 2013 -> 03:16 AM) "now with a full season of managing under his belt, he now sees himself possibly staying in the job longer than he originally thought--even if he’s not ready to sign on the dotted line. “I think it changes how I thought about it last year. I was just trying to get through three years of it, just to make sure I can concentrate on that and get it done the right way,” he said. “Some people think they’re going to do it for a long time and it doesn’t work out that way, so I’m just enjoying each season as it comes, to be prepared for it and enjoy it.” His approach to managing is a lot like playing: You don’t get to do it forever. “You could probably do it for most of your life,” Ventura said. “But I don’t see it happening forever.” Ventura declines extension I n my opinion, Ventura was not an exemplary Manager. Sometimes it looked like was not always happy to be here and was just going through the motions. His comment about just getting through the 3 year Contract has to be disturbing to Jerry and to management, and certainly is not something fans wanted to hear, even though he tried to explain why he declined the extension and left the door open. I would offer Ventura a buy-out for his third year and look for another Manager for 2014. I think AJ would make a great White Sox Manager. He has a high baseball I.Q. , he is a proven winner, part of our 2005 W.S., and is a guy who would bring excitement to the park with him every day. Can anyone say that about Ventura? I just don't see why the Sox offered him an extension in the first place. They should wait and see what he does this season before making any further commitment to him.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/11/us-...nds-video-games Nancy Pelosi becomes the first Representative or Senator to defend video games, that I know of. Certainly the most high profile.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 08:25 PM) It sounds like it is Drose vs. Bulls. Rose's camp wants him to sit out and a lot of rumors he will. Sorry, but that is f***ing pathetic. Rose...man up and play. If Rose's camp has killed his competitive fire, they officially become public enemy #1 in Chicago.

QUOTE (Jake @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 08:11 PM) From the information at hand, I will have lost some respect for Rose if he doesn't come back this season. I suppose more info could come forth, but it appears that would be a solely self-serving measure at this point. I work with the person that was the trainer at Memphis when he was there, and he insists that Derrick had a reputation as a "p****" when it came to injuries. I didn't buy it...but maybe? We'll see. Could be the media overplaying a statement. I sadly agree with this. What happened to the kid who said "Why can't I be MVP" and would play through ulcers and say he'd die on the floor?

Been voting as often as I remember to. Apparently an announcer for the Quidditch World Cup last year is a finalist as well. I shall do my best to bad mouth him for you.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Feb 12, 2013 -> 02:54 AM) They've underrated the Sox by 7.125 games on average each year. So it should be a good bet that the Sox will win 84-85 games this year then. I approve. -

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 05:05 PM) NFL might widen the field 10 yards for safety reasons. Emery already knew this and that's why he hired the best CFL coach. Genius.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 11, 2013 -> 03:17 PM) http://www.southsidesox.com/minors/2013/2/..._medium=twitter To me, this is a look into the mind and view of where the Sox plan on heading in the next few years. Refocusing as much as they have on the minor league system is going to pay off tremendously down the road for them, even if they struggle this year. I like this. Side note: I got into an argument on facebook today where after a lengthy post of mine the opponent left. It reminded me of my greatest internet moment. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?sh...3338&st=450 - for your reading pleasure

I loved my Mazda3 Hatchback when I had it, but it had a lot of random problems happen (all of which stemmed from the engine dying far before it's time, but I don't think it'd be the norm) and I love my Honda Civic. But if I have to give any advice it's go to multiple dealers and use their offers to talk down the others. "Well I have this place offering me this..." So on and so forth.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 09:27 AM) Players were right. It's a much bigger "f*** you" to Kansas to not storm. That's why I think storming the court is so dumb. Despite being mad about it, I understand it. I'm actually somewhat amazed they stopped the student section. It was like a dam ready to burst and then nothing.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 09:21 AM) @CSNCoop: Classic ESPN journalism- three guests ripping Freeh report, defending Paterno. No one giving the other view. I'd work for ESPN in a second, but they are terrible journalists over there.
-
Do the Paterno's realize that by doing this, they're only reintroducing what s*** Paterno was into the public memory?

QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Feb 10, 2013 -> 12:36 AM) #4 at home favored over #8. OMG WE BEAT KANSAS, SUCH A BETTER TEAM, WE'RE SO LUCKY, NO WAY WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THIS GAME, LET'S STORM. Smart players. I think "last game in storied rivalry that your rival has historically dominated with late come back" allows an exception.
