  1. Lol, NYT, NBC and AP news alerts. Soak it in Jerry, soak it in.
  2. See, this is the s%*# that gets me. Everyone here is a fan of this team. We wouldn't be here otherwise. The difference is that you'd rather watch them continue down this road because you think everyone is hunky fucking dory.
  3. Instructions unclear, only Moncada has been held accountable
  4. The absolute exuberance in Jason's voice. Good for that man.
  5. They're really bringing in a guy to just get Vaughn 😭
  6. Nah, he's a homeless man's version of Eaton with 1-tool.
  7. Cannot wait until Dominic Fletcher is wearing another jersey.
  8. Tuned in listened for like, 1 minute before remembering I could flip to an actual broadcaster
  9. When it comes to a decision between two players, assume Getz makes the wrong choice.
  10. And it's not like the Sox exist in a vacuum. The Bulls are right there to highlight Reinsdorf's lack of investment.
  11. I'm convinced some posters have never had sports injuries, let along leg or back injuries.
  12. To elaborate: Moncada was gone from the team for basically the entire year. So the implication is that Moncada was corrupting Luis from afar after he had his breakout season. Sox fans are going to need to get a new punching bag after this year. There have been multiple exposes in the past few weeks about how this is an abysmal organization that doesn't prepare their players at all and does f*** all to help them develop. But no, it's Yoan Moncada's fault. I'm sure he was also holding Reynaldo Lopez back.
  13. This is such a stupid reason. I love it.
  14. Neutron purge the front office from TLR to the development coach in the AFL.
  15. A reminder that the Sox supposedly missed on Juan Soto by $100,000
  16. The top position players acquired for Cease and Fedde both failed to hit .200 Root for the ace you have.
  17. And if anyone needs a reminder of other future Sox players from that 2017 list: Benintendi clocked in at #1, Clint Frazier at #24, Brent Honeywell at #31, Blake Rutherford at #37, Erick Fedde at #60 (so, this one worked out after his KBO reinvention), and Michael Soroka at #78,
  18. We are not even 3 years removed from a failed rebuild, of which the current GM was a core front office member of and TLR and JR are still running ship, and people want to act like we can bank on a future of Schultz, Smith, Colson, Quero, Baldwin, Sosa, Ramos. Look, I've been way more active on the Future Sox board than a lot of you for years. It's why I got here. I prospect hug like no other, wrote for Future Sox (though nothing in comparison to @Y2Jimmy0 and co. right now). In 2018, GMs would have killed to get a package of Moncada, Kopech and Benintendi. Remember this? 10 guys in the top 70. They also had TA, Abreu and Rodon. Absolutely fucking suplexes the current situation if we're going off of projection alone. Except the guy in charge of building depth for that rebuild is now in charge of trades, which have so far been lacking.
  19. I'm sure 29 of them would say "let's wait until they're actually in the AL."
  20. Go look up where Cespedes, Colas and Adolfo were ranked, then do a search on how many times you've mentioned Fernando Tatis Jr.
  21. For everyone saying the Sox are set with Schultz and Smith: Remember when we were set with Giolito, Kopech, Lopez, Cease, Dunning and Rodon? Pitching is the most volatile part of this game and after trading Cease and Fedde - the best starting pitchers on the market both times - Getz really doesn't have much in the way of positional prospects to show for it.
  22. Hawk's one year as GM of the White Sox changed the careers of Tony La Russia, Dave Dombrowski and Bobby Bonilla. That is some crazy butterfly effect.
  23. I'm sorry, who are these top positional prospects we're getting based on Getz's track record for trades?
