  1. So, Patrick Ewing Theory? Rose pulls a Kirk Gibson and comes back in game 7 of the ECF to hit a dagger 3? f***ING EVERYTHING.
  2. I heard pop and got some hope...I've strained an ACL before and got back in a few weeks with 100th of Rose's conditioning and med staff. But if it's a tear...f***.
  3. QUOTE (buhbuhburrrrlz @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 05:25 PM) gg official i guess Rose Injury Update: Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose tore his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and he's out for the remainder of the season. @ChicagoBulls_PR f***f***f***
  4. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 03:46 PM) I know why he went in the second round. But he's a starting C at 6'7. That's just not normal. You're not supposed to be able to get away with that. I had never heard of Leonard. But ok. 15th pick. Fine. Parker has had a fine year. But he does the 17-18 ppg, 6-7 apg thing every year. I know what the Bulls have had to deal with this year. And it's remarkable that they won 50 games. But the non-playoff teams from the east are pretty damn bad. Nobody can deny that helped some. All fair points.
  5. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 02:06 AM) I'm looking at this Spurs roster. O.M.G. Popovich is the clear-cut choice for COY. Manu Ginobili has missed more games than Rose. And in the games he's played, he's sported his worst across-the-board numbers since 2004. Tim Duncan is barely half the player he was in his prime. Parker has had his normal good year. But let's break down the rest of this Spurs roster (most of it): DeJuan Blair: a second round pick, is their starting C at 6'7, in the west. Danny Green: another second round pick, who had 28 career games played coming into this year. Patty Mills: are you serious? Where the hell did he come from? Another (late) second round pick. Kawhi Leonard: did anybody know who this guy was before this season? Gary Neal: undrafted These are like their top guys. The west is clearly better than the east. The west is 156-114 against the east this season. If you narrow it down to only playoff teams, the west's top 8 is 100-44 against the eastern conference (east playoff teams are only 74-70 against the west). This is a severe no-brainer. Thibs did a tremendous job this year. Rose, while great, is nowhere near as valuable (at least in the regular season) as I thought he was. But Popovich, in a much better conference, has been god-like. There's nothing to discuss here. This is almost as easy as LeBron and his third MVP that's coming next month. DeJuan Blair was a second round pick because his knees scared everyone. He was projected to go at 16 to the Bulls. Green: Fair enough. Mills: Fair enough. Leonard: Number 15 pick from this year...so...yeah. Neal: Touche. That being said you can make a case for Thibs. Didn't have the Rose for a lot of games, while Parker played at an MVP level. Watson, Hamilton, and Rose all missed lots of games. JL3 started. Deng didn't have a wrist ligament. The defense was unreal. In my rose-colored glasses, Thibs having SO many injuries and being in the drivers seat all year makes him COY, but if Pop wins he is also deserving.
  6. I'd update his AAP, but I had another seizure last night and anything resembling work annoys me.
  7. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 01:34 PM) Personally I hated it when they brought him in the booth to ramble on, but he seemed like he was an awesome guy to hang out with. RIP Moose.
  8. I really hope Cowley writes a column about Viciedo soon.
  9. Turner seemed to forget Rose already hates his f***ing guts.

    Tennis Elbow (Ouch)

    QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 02:07 PM) My regular doctor says I have tennis elbow. It hurts like a motherf***er on the elbow. He told me to wear this little flesh covered brace when I'm using the arm much and take some Alleve daily and ice it. Any other suggestions? It's lingered a while. He is sure nothing's broken in there. He's no ortho guy, just a regular doctor where I was in there getting a physical and told him of my elbow woes. Can I bowl or play tennis as it still hurts? Will it stop hurting? THANK YOU I wouldn't bowl or play tennis while it still hurts. I tried to run through knee injuries before and I'm still paying for that decision four years later. Let an injury heal up first before trying to do anything that strains it.
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 10:37 PM) I thought I was reading somewhere Ozzie is a big supporter of charities and stuff and puts his money where his mouth is. And I heard he's great meeting fans at bars, restrants, etc., and has always been good while at the ballpark where a lot of players are pricks. Hence my support of him being a good guy. The Castro thing was stupid and a byproduct of how much he likes to talk. I really don't care about his kid. I believe each individual is responsible for his/her actions and papa is not responsible for baby bear. The contract thing also doesn't bother me. Bottom line is he and the GM had a severe clash of egos. I truly can't believe Kenny hired Ozzie to begin with. Certainly he had to realize their two egos could not co-exist. You do realize because Ozzie let Oney run wild, that led to the KW-Ozzie feud, right?
  12. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 07:57 PM) I loved Jenks. These young guys now are too unreliable IMO. Reed is already more reliable right now than Bobby was when he got the closer role.
  13. Santiago should be in AAA with Stewart starting. But he's a lefty, so it's fine that he stays in long relief. Reed needs to close. He's a machine designed to close games.
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 12:57 PM) I did forget that 6 was my favorite. I literally lol'd. That one was beautiful.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 12:00 PM) 28 funniest facebook comebacks. http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/the-28-best...book-come-backs Love #10, 16, 19 and 21 This...this did not disappoint.
  16. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:53 PM) So every White Sox loss the discussion will be whether we would have won were Ozzie still managing the team? That's going to get old fast. Being a White Sox fan right now (1st place tie) is a lot better than rooting for the Marlins or Royals. OZZIE WOULD HAVE PINCH HIT FOR DUNN, THE BUM. EXCEPT HE WOULDN'T.
