  1. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 09:36 PM) So I guess we all are adding pictures.....
  2. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Apr 24, 2012 -> 11:35 PM) I went to watch Blake Griffin play tonight... and I was highly disappointed. His offensive game looked great, but I wanted more dunks. He had 2 fast break opportunities which ended up resulting in nothing (fouled on one, terrible alley-oop on the other). I really wanted to see a dunk that would bring the house down. Oh, and CP3 is f***ing good. But we all knew that... I want the Clippers to get swept in the first round for all the goddamn flopping.

    QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) LOL. Maybe from being a history minor and the fact that I've been to nearly every Civil War battlefield in the US, lol. Instead of going to Disneyland or SeaWorld, our family (because of my dad) took me all across the country to see those places....and actually, I have fonder memories of my childhood as a result, even though it was never my desire to become a "Civil War buff," as they're always made fun of on SNL, haha. One of my cousins, Gary Clifton Wisler, wrote tons and tons of books (mostly young adult fiction) about the Civil War, Texas, cowboys and Indians...so that was always a part of life growing up. Some of them can probably still be found at amazon or at your local library. He even beat a Louis La'mour book once for the Western Spur writing award, if I remember correctly. He actually had a heart attack when he was only 53, so I'm sure he would have been shocked to see what his Rangers have done the last two years, had he lived to see it. As far as comic books/marvey civil wars, never paid much attention like some at this site do, although I've seen almost all of the comics-inspired movies, even silly ones like THE PUNISHER or GHOST RIDER. Caulfield, don't take this wrong, but I imagine if SoxTalk were a town, you would be the old man sitting on his porch in a rocking chair that confuses the s*** out everyone, but people like.
  5. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 11:21 PM) It's nice to have a manager that gives a s***. Yes. Last year was so damn frustrating to the point of not caring and wishing failure on Ozzie. This team has been fun to pull for. Then there was a perfect game.
  6. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 11:16 PM) LOL, this along with your thread had me chuckling. All is good in the universe, as long as Quinarvy is enjoyin it. Ever since my seizure two weeks ago, I get really, really tired and occasionally depressed cause of it. The White Sox have actually been like, the one thing that's made me happy.

    QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 09:19 AM) LOL, not the US Civil war. The Marvel Civil war. Caulfield finally outsmarted himself.
  8. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 02:24 PM) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/philip-humber...x-mariners.html So far....you'd have to go with 1.Loaiza 2.Thornton 3.Humber 4.Contreras 5.Jenks or Santos Floyd in there too.
  9. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 02:30 AM) Boston's in no position to add the Rios contract since they are already dealing with Lackey, Dice-K (final year, thankfully), Crawford, Beckett, Ortiz, Youkilis, Pedroia, A-Gone, etc. They couldn't even really legimately afford to keep Papelbon at the back of their pen for the numbers and years he was asking. And I'm sure they have had to eat a decent part of Bryd's contract as well. The one argument for Rios as opposed to National League or even AL West players is that he should be more familiar with the pitching staffs in that league and the ballparks...although things have changed quite a bit since 2009. But Boston is the greatest run franchise ever (because Theo is God) that can afford anything.
  10. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 23, 2012 -> 01:41 AM) The minute Boston wants Alex Rios, you trade him. The second Boston wants Alex Rios, you trade him. Please call Boston now. I only rip Alex here in response to your post. He's had a nice April and I applaud him. If Boston calls I try to pillage them for Rios & Floyd.
  11. So, as I mistakenly said in the Catch All AL Central, why is Addison Reed not the closer?
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 05:29 PM) Because he's not on the Tigers and you're in the wrong thread (I got caught last week, so now I get someone) LOL @ me. Wow. I'm just gonna remove those... (but leave this)
  13. It all makes sense. In some weird Space Jam s***, AJ stole Dunn's power. It's taken Dunn a year to restore it and AJ a year to harness it.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 22, 2012 -> 04:04 PM) Hey look, Sox gave Danks a lead and he gave it right back. No f***in way. Insert acronym
  15. Motion to petition the Sox to change the slogan from "Appreciate the Game" to "f*** ALL THE HATERS"
