  1. Eddy Curry in game. Get's rebound. Immediate turnover. Despite losing 100 pounds, still looks fat.
  2. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 02:46 PM) Hawk Harrelson @NotHawk Fausto Carmona's actual name is s***ty Pitcher.
  3. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 07:31 PM) Longevity is everything. You can be a flash in the pan athletic freak, but that only lasts so long most of the time. I dont understand why people say how much better Sanders and Brown were than Payton. A huge part of being an NFL RB is durability, if there is enough prevailing skill thats probably the biggest thing you want out of a great RB. Nobody takes more punishment in professional sports than NFL runningacks. Payton missed 1 game in his rookie year from the day he signed with the Bears until the day he retired. That counts for a lot more than all these guys who had great ~5 year stints but couldn't keep it up over a decade of getting leveled (especially considering Walter's style wasnt really about avoiding contact). White Sox RFs
  4. QUOTE (ptatc @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 05:56 PM) How the heck do you keep from falling off the broom? Hold with one of your hands or your legs. Generally if I'm jumping to block a shot or catch a pass I'll hold the broom with my leg.
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 05:48 PM) Sadly, a lot of colleges around the USA have competitive quidditch clubs. I'm on Mizzou's... ...and I hate having to defend 7 footers. So it's like basketball in that regard.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 05:45 PM) Right after you get off of your broom, Severus. I'll take this over the usual "You know you can't fly right?"
  7. So when do I start arguing Quidditch's validity as a sport?
  8. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 05:25 PM) Totally. SYNDERGAARD AWAITS! "Syndergaard with 3 strikes out this inning. After the first he yelled FUS. The second one he yelled RO. Last one he yelled DAH. Weird ass kid."
  9. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 03:46 PM) I want Syndergaard really badly, but I'm not sure of how much of it is because I think he's good and how much of it is because I want to get a shirt with his name on the back. That name is right out of Skyrim.
  10. My friend lives in a part of SIUE called "Cougar Village" I think they'll live with that name.
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 03:57 PM) I actually think Walter has an argument for greatest football player ever. So do I. Being the best RB gets you that right to argument. That being said, Jordan > Any athlete from any sport
  12. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 03:38 PM) Haha, does it show? Just a little.
  13. SoxFan1 really has to hate being a moderator the past few days.
  14. Keith Bogans also slowed Wade down last year. You're telling me Butler and Ray Allen couldn't as well?
  15. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 01:51 PM) Just drinking the same stuff that made people think the Knicks would be better than the Bulls. Preseason opinions are what they are. J4L is my boy, but damn. But seriously, everyone knows J4L is a grass is always greener type of guy, right?
  16. Our championship hopes shouldn't be rested on Brewers shoulders.
  17. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jan 18, 2012 -> 09:34 PM) I know he's been good for a while now, but I still have a part of me that does a double-take each time Cliff Lee is mentioned as one of the best pitchers in the game. I can't shake the memories of him being terrible. This.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 01:30 PM) Hamilton is supposedly one of the best there is at shutting down Wade. And Rip + Ray would wear down Wade on offense. Plus in Thibs system, you need both SF and SG to funnel perimeter players into Asik/Noah/Gibson/Boozer. Don't tell me Butler/Hamilton couldn't do that.
  19. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 01:10 PM) Seems like an overpay for a guy that'll give you this year and maybe next year. They maybe 1 or 2 second rounders. Brewer and Korver have team options, but they'll be gone after that. Like Allen. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) And trading brewer significantly hurts defense, which is still what the Bulls are about. Butler + Allen = Brewer + Korver on D in my opinion. Plus, the flow of offensive firepower that Rip brings to the Mob and the cold-blooded threes that Allen brings outweigh that.
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 12:28 PM) ? Noah's going to the Celtics in his scenario. And that's a foolish overpay. Mine was Korver, Brewer, 3 second rounders for Allen.
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 11:56 AM) Joe Cowley, duh.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jan 19, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) Trade Noah for Allen and a pick or two. 100% IN on that, though the Celtics would never do it. Celtics would do that in a heartbeat. Korver + Brewer + 2-3 second round picks for Allen. This lineup: Rose - Watson Allen - Hamilton Deng - Butler Boozer - Gibson Noah - Asik

    SOPA

    Seeing as there was no thread for this yet... I loved the clip of how a number of Congressman said they "weren't enough of a nerd" to understand SOPA and need to "get some nerds in here." Or as Jon Stewart called them "experts."
  25. QUOTE (Stan Bahnsen @ Jan 18, 2012 -> 10:36 PM) Cubano, great to see you back on the board! I started reading the post and was like "cool." Then saw that it was Cubano and was like "Holy s***! Cubano's back! "
