  1. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 18, 2011 -> 05:44 PM) Did the Packers beat NE with Flynn last season? I thought they lost, but it was a close game "But the Packers make Pro-Bowl backups like Hasselback and Rodgers. Flynn would be a 12 win QB with the Packers." That's right, Aaron Rodgers is only worth 4 wins. Then he argued Tebow is MVP because Packers are still #1 seed without Rodgers. f***ing Tebow fans. Edit: Yeah, Flynn was OK in that game, but lost it for the Pack.
  2. My friend who is a Packers/Tebow fan that claims Matt Flynn is a 12 win QB because he beat the Pats once and Orton is a s***ty QB cause his 400 yard games had Brandon Marshall is going to get hell this week.
  3. So, Derrick Williams at PF? So Love is the C? T-Wolves need to go Rubio-SG-Williams-Love-NotDarko to be good.
  4. QUOTE (Fantl916 @ Dec 17, 2011 -> 12:53 PM) i know hindsight is 20/20, but this is why i dislike peeps being opposed to dealing an asset simply because you have that asset under control for many year. its not a good comparison, but seeing this package makes me wonder what we couldve gotten for danks last offseason or two offseasons ago. that is a crazy great package. hoyer and byrnes are building quite a nice little squad in SD. i think Grandal is going to be amazing, my jealousy knows no bounds on this one. i was hoping for grandal more than anything this offseason Hoyer doesn't work for the Padres. He was there to deliver Theo A-Gon, that's it.
  5. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 17, 2011 -> 01:00 PM) I'd take Grandal alone for Danks, Latos is 24, under team control for 4 more seasons and has awesome upside, I'd say he's already considered a #2 by most. His trade value was exponentially higher than that of Danks. I know, but that was my "shoot for the moon" package. I would have been cool with either.
  6. Damnit. I would have taken Alonso and Grandal alone for Danks..
  7. Prime Brent Barry would have been great on the Bulls. Handles. Dunking. 3s. Passing. Defense. And swag.
  8. Speaking of which, any idea when the FutureSox one comes out?
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 12:21 PM) This sounds like Quinarvy bait... I am far to tired from studying for finals so I can get my journalism degree and be a real journalist, unlike Cowley. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 11:35 AM) He did Seriously though, he's such an insecure asshole. Cowley should just take his one man show to Miami already.
  10. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 12:44 PM) http://www.scribd.com/doc/75786026/Hurd-Complaint "HURD stated he was interested in purchasing five to ten kilograms of cocaine and 1,000 pounds of marijuana per week for distribution in the Chicago area. HURD negotiated to receive the aforementioned amounts of narcotics at $25,000 per kilogram of cocaine and $450 per pound of marijuana. HURD further stated that he and another co-conspirator currently distribute about four kilograms of cocaine per week in the Chicago area, but that the supplier could not supply him with enough quantity" Ten kilos of Coke @ $25,000 per x 52 = $13,000,000 in annual transactions. 1,000 lbs of marijuana @ $450 per x 52 = $23,400,000 in annual transcations. This was set to become Hurd's SECONDARY drug source. Holy crap. Sweet Jesus of Adidas.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 12:40 PM) Does your brother happen to write for the Sun Times? No, he just can't stand the thought of his childhood idols (Rodman, Ozzie, etc.) not being the best.
  12. QUOTE (iamshack @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 11:24 AM) Bob is an awesome dude...I had a friend who was tight with him back in the glory days...he got my friend and I into the Bulls locker room during the 72-10 season...we met MJ and Scottie, and my friend got a paid of Ron Harper's shoes that said 34-3 on them (their record after beating the Pistons that day). He told everyone we were "school kids" he knew from his work with the Bulls, even though we were like 18 at the time He's so underrated by Bulls fans. When my brother asked who my all time Bulls team was for 2k12, he was furious that Dennis Rodman wasn't included (and was a Piston instead) and not the starting Power Forward. He asked what Love did and I said "Well, his number is retired, 2 time all-star 3 time all defensive second team, good scorer for the Bulls." "Well, you need defense to win! You don't need scoring with Rose, Jordan and Pippen!" "David, Rodman was better as a Piston. He was only all defense once as a Bull and he wasn't an All-Star" "He was a defensive player of the year" "Again, with the Pistons. Not with the Bulls." "Well Rodman won 3 rings. Bob Love has none." "Love didn't have Jordan!" "See, that's the problem with your generation. They don't understand legacies." Keep in mind, my brother is Ozzie fan #1.
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 10:28 AM) Sam Hurd arrested on Federal drug charges yay alma mater. Damnit (in regards to NIU player, don't really care about Hurd)
  14. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 10:19 AM) http://www.southsidesox.com/2011/12/14/263...ece-about-danks Best. Sox. Writer.
  15. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Dec 15, 2011 -> 09:33 AM) I can't imagine elite free agents wanting to flock to the Lakers with a 35-year old Kobe as the centerpiece. Their window is closing rather rapidly. The Thunder, Grizzlies and Clippers will be running things in that conference very soon (if not this year). That second sentence is so weird to read. But I eagerly await the Lakers decline.
  16. Cowley's tweets are the most unintentionally self-damning things I've ever read.
  17. Rip is going to be nice to have. Also, the Bench Mob is going to straight up murder teams this year with the condensed schedule. Watson-Brewer-Korver-Taj-Asik. Still great. And now they have Butler for when they need even more obnoxiously powerful D from the Bench. Rose (36) / Watson (12) Hamilton (25) / Brewer (23) Deng (30) / Korver (18) Boozer (30) / Gibson (18) Noah (30) / Asik (14) / Gibson (4)
  18. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 12:15 PM) So I just finished Uncharted 3. Gotta say, I was a little disappointed. I'd give it an 8 to 8.5 out of 10. There were way too many frustratingly difficult gun fights. And not because i'm terrible at aiming or anything. Guys flanked your position way too easily while you were under cover and essentially shot you in the back without you ever knowing they were there. That, and sometimes you'd die once (because of your own doing) and then the game would respawn you in the middle of the fight where you had no chance to prepare yourself. I'm all up for a challenge (as the prior two games didn't offer much of any), but it needs to be a fair fight. Too often I felt like it wasn't fair. I nearly broke my controller like 10 times while playing this game. That and the story just wasn't as good. I didn't understand why I was going to all of these different places. I got the general storyline, but I felt like in 2 you had a clear objective. This one was sorta all over the place. Still, it's the best action game around. No other game comes anywhere near as close to the scope and scale of the set pieces. Fantastic game to look at, just needed to be tweaked a little more. I'm the opposite. I didn't think there were enough "Oh s*** oh s*** oh s***" gunfights, like , where you felt like you were f***ed.
  19. Local cookie place in town drew this on the box for me. I don't care if LeBron's number is 23, or that they're both Asian.
  20. QUOTE (bmags @ Dec 14, 2011 -> 06:41 PM) when Rips contract ends. So RFA next year, UFA when Rip ends. Chances Clips > Lakers this year?
  21. How long before Gordon is a FA and his best friend Rose can snag him?
