I often think if they don't have it by now they never will. I don't think this organization is good at developing players who are not good at catching a baseball. They sure seem to draft them though and try them at risky positions. If defense isn't there by college I don't think the minors will make them improve.

After watching Winston-Salem it seems most of those guys in the lineup seem to have a sense of situational hitting.

That doesn't involve putting your buddies and former players in the ranks. I'm not sure what's up with all of these brittle players they seem to get.

I was also around some Sox fan "dooms dayers" thinking he will never make it. It also makes me wonder if the hitting instruction is quite different on the farm and maybe better?

So if you live where Spring Training is would you prefer to see other teams in action. Nothing really excites me to see the Sox this season. Sometimes I enjoy baseball when my emotion is not attached to it.

I didn't get to see Kanny that much. That was another great team. I hated how they all wet the bed in the playoffs except for Great Falls. I don't care to see Charlotte that much because you see the same retreads that have no future.

NL players just don't work out for the Sox.

I got addicted to watching the Dash last season and it was the only A team I got to watch. The Barons should be better this year. Last year was my first season watching minor league baseball I really loved it despite the broadcast quality. Unfortunately the only rookie baseball I will get to see in person is in the summer when it's over 100 degrees in the evening.

Last year I became a fan of the Sox A,AA teams. There's some hope there.

Well history shows the Sox never land those players and the only one I remember is Belle and that didn't work out so well. There's plenty of sports teams who get burned in free agency.

I prefer the Ranger stadium in Surprise. My first ST game was at the Peoria stadium and it was wet and like 58, I felt like a Bears-Packers game was gonna break out. My neck hurt for 3 days from those seats. My ST experiences are not the best and it doesn't bother me if I ever go. I love the Fall League at the Ranch.
