  1. You appear to have your head up your own ass by taking the game thread in the WRONG direction. You show no sense now. Please refrain from political crap.
  2. There's probably a lot to envy. Their ownership doesn't have a sense of loyalty to a fault. They invest in experienced management while the Sox always look for someone who wore the uniform. Two of our top prospects were originally theirs. Their farm system is no joke. They have better scouting. They are superior in many ways. Reinsdorf's buddy system vs. Ricketts getting those who won. I do fear when Reinsdorf is gone there will still be that status quo.
  3. Coop likes his guys to pitch to contact. Pitchers who K a lot of guys throw a lot more pitches.
  4. Part of me wants to cry. 1) I did not get to watch these playoff games. 2) Sox A ball has officially ended this season. Watching the A teams was so exciting. Kanny and Salem were disappointments but GF really put up some numbers.
  5. I've given up the thought of a hitting coach makes a difference. Dusty Baker use to go through a lot of them. It's a swing for the fences mentality with younger players. There's no situational hitting. It's all about individual accomplishments. Bunting is not glamorous but some made a career out of it.
  6. Nice post and you can also go back to Robin Ventura when he came up they just expected him to field his position.
  7. So after just playing a little over a full season he is not a Mike Trout. There's a lot of impatience among fans.
  8. The same thing happened in Ventura's 1st year. It was teams like the Royals who put the possibility of a post season away.
  9. If I can get it really cheap I might get MLB for the rest of the season to watch these tight NL races.
  10. The Dash were a big disappointment in the post season.
  11. I think that happened too when Mags was out and Borchard had to fill in.
  12. It may be premature by these guys so far don't seem like post season chokers. I wish I could watch.
  13. Now up 5-0. Sad that I can't watch them on Milb.
  14. It must be frustrating to be a Nats fan. They are the most overrated team ever.
  15. One of the biggest failures in professional sports is trying to plan to avoid injury.
  16. I think many could write the same post. I use to make an annual post on why I don't care for the NFL anymore. I didn't really watch a Sox game this year and didn't buy the MLB subscription. This year I expanded my horizon watching the minors and I really enjoyed it. I'm sad when baseball season is over. Lucky there is the Fall League. I can pretty much watch baseball in some form out here year round. I think fans expect immediate results out of a rebuild. That is more possible in the NBA and NFL but not MLB. Not every team in MLB is lucky to get a Mike Trout type player. As for Kopech it is not the end of the world. This is a guy who only performs every 5 days. I remember when Frank Thomas would get hurt and that always dampered the season.
  17. Got to see most of the Barons, Knights, and Dash. I became a fan of the Dash. The A teams did great this year except for the post season. I miss it already. I will be watching again next year.
  18. Well I like what I see in the Sox A system.
  19. Seems like this organization has no shortage of brittle players.
  20. This is my favorite team to watch. What studs.
