That all depends if the scouts get it right or lucky and so does the development of players. Seeing so many guys that don't know or can do the fundamentals doesn't make me confident.

Welcome to really hot weather baseball. -
Isn't this the part in the movie where the defense or bullpen loses the game?

I on the other hand love the bunt if someone is very good at it. -
More so when they become managers.

You also have to hit with your prospects. It would be great if they got that rare impact player like Frank Thomas or Mike Trout. Plus they seem to fear sending a guy back down if they aren't cutting it. It's hard to be all ga-ga over a rebuild when you see the same inconsistencies in this organization. There is no shortage of baseball dumb in this organization. Baseball fundamentals should be innate instead of they aint.

Which brings the debate of bringing up players too soon. -
If you can get 5 innings out him, what a bonus for interleague play.
-
Pretty embarrassing for a pitcher to give that up.

I have the opportunity to watch baseball year round. I live down the street from the Sox facility. It's a bit difficult to go and watch when it's 105 at night. I've only been to spring training night games. My favorite is the fall league. When MLB is over there's still some baseball to watch. Kids also play baseball in Nov. and Dec.

Maybe we are impatient with him. Has he even played a full season yet? -
Bummed that you rarely get to watch A games.

I'm glad to see the game going back to the pitcher. I think the roids era did a lot to hurt the purity of baseball. You see a lot of players that are fundamentally weak. Being a catcher is not a glamorous position. Some use to be household names in the 70's. Baseball is like golf. You either like it or you don't. I do think it's a generational thing. I remember in high school a teacher would put on the spring training games on the radio. Professional sports are not as accessible like they use to. You got to have cable or a paid program to listen on the radio if you are in a different region. I'm not sure modifying how the game is played is going to keep a traditionalist. They start the season in March and most parts of the country that doesn't help attendance. The NFL no longer interests me. That is a sport were the talent is regressing. Way too many 1t round flops. Plus it was a form of entertainment that is now politicized. ESPN/Fox I think has done more to ruin professional sports. It's littered with former players who have to reflect on their career or just plain stupid how their sport has evolved. Terry Bradshaw is perfect example. It's an era of the salary cap and the coach is not as near as important as the players. At one time sports was in the hands of journalists or announcers and that made it more interesting. Announcing is a talent. I learned to appreciate Hawk after hearing Berman do the 2005 post season vs. the Red Sox. I never could get into the NBA. Just watch the last 5 minutes. The NHL, I'm getting more into that. I think the interest of professional sports is declining because there is more competition for entertainment. It's pricing is also a weakness. Why go to a game when you can buy the latest Call of Duty release and be entertained longer. With the digital format the music industry would lose to the movie industry. You see few kids into sports these days. That may have to do with parenting.

So true. I know this season is bad but I don't care to risk a kid's development because the Sox are so terrible. Sept. is OK. I don't want to enter the debate of a failed prospect is because they brought them up too soon. Besides I'm really enjoying watching Milb.

They have managed to never have a shortage of baseball dumb players. I don't think it's something they value. By the time kids make it up to the majors they should know the fundamentals.

Sale is still a stud. -
I decided to watch Kanapolis. Robert with 2 RBI.
-
Free game of the day. Should I watch or ask how much I hate myself? I think I will stick with the other Milb
-
That is so White Sox.
-
A little pricey for one of those caps.
-
It matched their defense last night.

The Baron's feed sucks. No info on the screen as to what inning, ect. Had to use Gameday to get a grasp. The Milb app only works on OS 10 while MLB still works with OS 9. Developers are becoming my least favorite people. Instead of doing something like this they could work on making the screen sizable instead of small or large. Poor design overall for $50. Baseball during breakfast. Baseball just to watch or listen to baseball in the morning is great. No shortage of baseball. Most sports are great to watch when there is no emotion attached to it. What was really odd seeing Jumbo Shrimp @ Barons. I thought it was an advertisement at first. I want one of those Baron caps.

Where was this James Shields when he was getting clobbered the previous seasons.
