  1. I think Getz is going to make even bigger mistakes.
  2. Done. He's created the habitually losing small market that the previous Royals were good for.
  3. If these owners want public funding then it needs to be performance based contracts and pay fines for not putting a good product on the field. Like payroll has to be $150M minimum. The way Jerry has destroyed a fan base in 40 years says he can no longer be trusted with tax payer money. I'm all for Jerry to leave for Nashville and if it is also taking the team so be it as long as there's no White Sox. Leave that for expansion. The only thing fans really want is Jerry out of baseball.
  4. Culture - a new buzzword that no one talked about before. Good players play good baseball. The reality is if they want to improve the vague meaning of culture then they need to start with not having TLR around. The real problem that most of these psychology type solutions is they ignore the obvious. It starts with the fan base. They created a culture of the habitual losing small market franchise. I know longer can call this organization the White Sox but the Reinsdorfs. I'm all for the Reinsdorfs going to Nashville. The only change Sox fans want is ownership. Most athletes are like employees that never criticize their employer. That goes for many former athletes. We will never know the truth and that truth has to come directly from the player. I feel like an A's fan. Sure the team is still here but now it's the Chicago Reinsdorfs. The White Sox are dead.
  5. Bernstein called them weasels. They all want to be part of JRs loyalty program, success not mandatory. BTW a lot of the business world is like this. I remeber working under bad managers and came to the reality there are 5 more that are probably worse.
  6. That's only if they are healthy I tend to think the Crochet trade possibilities were more fiction by the media. What would the better GMs really give up at a deadline where they want to improve the current season on a pitcher who has not pitched a full season.
  7. If that happens they most likely will end up with someone worse. Every organization has a Vargas or 2 to pawn off the Sox. Of course the Sox organizations has plenty of those anyway. The plot will be #MakeBirminghamBetter.
  8. If that happens they most likely will end up with someone worse. Every organization has a Vargas or 2 to pawn off the Sox. Of course the Sox organizations has plenty of those anyway. The plot will be #MakeBirminghamBetter.
  9. Getz will come through to where we will want him back.
  10. This is the only team that will do that. A slow guy with little power only has a place here. It is a mystery the way young players decline in this organization.
  11. If there is to be a rebuild it needs to start with the fan base. The only cure for that is JR and TLR are no longer involved. You might see people attend a 100 loss season with those conditions. Then again maybe not. So far the framework spells cancer. They need to find another stooge like Grifol whose only skill was ass kissing. I really can't think any serious manager would bother with this. No upside unless it's a chance for a stepping stone to another organization.
  12. Last year the Mets owner took the blame by himself ---- then there's Jerry
  13. Wait till the Winter when there are more Vargas type players acquired by Getz.
  14. Watching the Braves. Glad this game wasn't on Crapple TV since it's Sale on the mound.
  15. Amazing how many former Sox people never burn bridges when it comes to JR.
  16. Anyone miss the old Kopech showed up and almost lost the game with walks. I don't think he threw one breaking ball. Luckily bad baserunning bailed him out.
  17. and they share the same spring training facility........what did they miss
  18. I made it a priority as there is no hope for this organization in my lifetime. I can shop for a new team. There are too many bad owners in baseball.
  19. That and farm system rankings are overrated. Trying to improve a farm system by trading for other team's prospect says you are not good at identifying talent and it's this vicious circle that repeats. What's worse is thinking you can fix a prospect from a far more superior organization.
  20. Not in our lifetime unless you consider 300 is close to 400
  21. The trade deadline says you're wrong
  22. Dodgers Way has an article before this one stating the same thing, What baffles me is the 3 team trade.
  23. Really? #StillMarkedSafeFromWatching WhiteSoxBaseball
