QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Dec 2, 2015 -> 12:54 PM) What team would trade for Manziel? He is trouble off the field and pretty awful on the field. I think the Browns should just admit that they made a typical Browns move in drafting him and just cut him. Browns will most likely do the wrong thing. They need to dump their front office. They seem to miss with high picks.

QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 10:40 PM) You are asking for way too much of the White Sox front office They seem to do well when it comes to pitching.

QUOTE (Dunt @ Dec 1, 2015 -> 05:29 PM) Sad things about deals like this is that it's really hard for me to imagine Sale wanting to stay with the Sox if they aren't winning and aren't paying him market value. You know sure as s*** the Sox won't pay him what he deserves. Pro athletes are more concerned about money in the bank than trophies.

QUOTE (shipps @ Nov 24, 2015 -> 06:26 PM) I am almost positive he was just making a joke. Yeah actually, I am positive he was making a joke. I was.

This is one of those lightning in the bottle hopefuls this organization is good for.
-
So now they can trade Sale for prospects.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 13, 2015 -> 06:00 PM) Really had high expectations after the trade with the A's, but the Shark had no teeth. Just a huge disappointment. But, some of the so called baseball experts were not impressed with him and they turned out to be right. It will be interesting to see just what he gets in that $15.8M range he turned down as a QO amount. Maybe it's time the Sox stop being trading partners with the A's. -
No, Tim Anderson is not ready for MLB... yet
kitekrazy replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in Pale Hose Talk
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 11, 2015 -> 01:37 PM) There's been a lot of discussion on social media the last few days, about Tim Anderson becoming the team's starting shortstop in 2016 on Opening Day. Not as much here, where there are some very knowledgeable posters, but in some cases it's been said. Here's the quick docket of reasons why he's not ready. Feel free to send this to any of your friends who might be suggesting it. Great article! Thanks! -
I got back from the game. Amazing how many kids are bad a catching a baseball. I got to see Adam Engel coach 1st base. November baseball>NFL.

White Sox make qualifying offer to Jeff Samardzija.

All I've seen and don't need a news article is another White Sox "maybe it will work this time" getting experience NL talent that fails. Nothing says "impressive" about him anyway. If anything you would think he would have decent stats in the AL since hitters did not face him enough. They seen him and liked him for batting practice. -
QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Nov 2, 2015 -> 12:16 AM) Nothing against the Mets but I'm happy the AL is going to win it, clearly the superior league this year. It seems odd that a team would have consecutive world series appearances these days.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 1, 2015 -> 11:44 AM) Yankees fans aren't Cubs fans. They are a fairly loyal and knowledgeable base. I don't think you know what you are talking about. I'd say you don't know what your are talking about.
-
QUOTE (knightni @ Oct 30, 2015 -> 11:19 AM) Is $15 mil a year a "buy-low" scenario? Also, if he's a SS butcher, how does that help? Let's add another career NL player who by the All Star break might be bad enough that can't be traded back to the NL.
-
QUOTE (CWSpalehoseCWS @ Oct 31, 2015 -> 01:46 PM) Even if he was to leave the Royals, why would he have any desire to come to the Sox? I know money talks, but between the Royals, the Cubs, and the Sox, which team would you be more compelled to sign with from an organization standpoint? Yankees.
-
At least he faced AL pitching. I think it would have been a step up.

Juan Uribe has been added to the Mets world series roster

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Oct 27, 2015 -> 11:00 AM) I always liked Uribe. He always seems to be on the winning side Would be be going for his 3rd WS ring? -
I didn't take the opportunity to see two games this week. 6 miles away from the Ranch and I didn't go today. Would anyone else waste an opportunity like that?
-
I read there is another guy in the farm system (can't remember who) who could be better than Rodon and Fulmer. I guess it's great for this organization to have that potential talent since pitching contracts are getting above ridiculous.
-
So is there any possibilities from the farm that we may see within 5 years? It's kinda sad when there were guys like Bench, Fisk, Munson and Simmons. They were household names. My how baseball has changed.
-
So the Sox finally filled the hole in CF after almost a decade and chance that on a guy who couldn't figure out minor league pitching and somehow got it right in the majors. It wouldn't be the first time this organization overreacted.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 19, 2015 -> 07:25 AM) You are only down by 6 points and try that stupid play. Chuck Pagano is probably fired at the end of the year anyway, but things like that don't help his case. It makes me feel better about Robin Ventura.
-
I don't think they'll have a great as season next year even if they add a FA or two.

White Sox mentioned as potential landing spot for Upton

Career NL talent falls flat on this team. -
QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Oct 14, 2015 -> 06:23 PM) In what could be (if Texas comes back) his last moment as a big leaguer, Mark Buehrle was ejected in today's Toronto/Texas game for doing nothing. I wonder if there is a video of that.
