  1. Do the Sox really lose if they keep their players? I think not. I do think they need a new staff. Maybe hire a manager who wants his own coaches. I wouldn't bank on a faithful fanbase. So it would be another dumpster dive for CF and 2 starters or the premature callups. The teams who have moved from the habitual losing camp have invested more in scouting and development. All the Sox will do is rinse and repeat because the good people are not really in charge.
  2. Maybe people got carried away last season because they were predicted to lose 90. Their big acquisition was a manager . Reminds me of the Sox knee jerk reaction firing Ricky. Rangers are a big disappointment.
  3. Somehow he is on the organization's s%*# list. If that is the case they shoulda traded him. Some of those that don't get trade will be put on waivers I assume.
  4. Those probably don't exist. This guy is the best signing in recent Sox history.
  5. Never understood giving a guy with no managerial experience that was never considered for it in another habitually losing organization a 3 year contract. That's stupid long.
  6. and away from the big league stink because it spreads
  7. Maybe he should be out of baseball for a year and fully heal. Then he could try playing in a non MLB organization and be a dumpster dive.
  8. No. It's the Onion which is satire. The Sox got some attention,
  9. They haven't won a game without him. They better bring him back. ?
  10. Biggest myth in baseball. More so for the Sox organization. #MakeBirminghamBetter
  11. Not sure watching the team is any better.
  12. Will be part of the new plan. I guess Birmingham is the new AAA team.
  13. Never pronounce Bill's last name wrong. First sign of being clueless. I think he is trying too hard.
  14. Me too except I watched Cubs vs. D'Backs on Fox with AJ and our former announcer.
  15. Wasn't he in Birmingham? It seems like the plan in this organization is to skip AAA,
  16. those ratings and team records are similar
  17. That is quitting. His biggest weakness is diplomacy in everything. Besides he came from the Royals. They were a reversed s%*# sandwich, bread in the middle, s%*# on the outside. He's use to losing.
  18. They seem to have better luck at dumpster dives. I don't think it is impossible with 3 lightning in a bottle guys to flirt with .500. Strange things have happened in baseball. Imagine if there were 2 solid guys in the pen - oh wait they would be traded #MakeBirminghamBetter, I will not be surprised with this new playoff system there will be a team that maybe won 79 games,
  19. as in habitual losing small market organizations other than that I can't buy into another reality They seem to get a lot of things wrong. I get Reinsdorf not wanting to spend money since he is bad at it. The organization is terrible at scouting. JR seems like a guy into loyalty over performance (see Chris Getz). That his biggest weakness. Unfortunately there's not enough fans who are into loyalty over performance.
  20. #MakeBirminghamBetter - nice pitching prospects but as far as hitting a baseball, it doesn't look good. They would have to spend money to improve that and not on veteran NL players either.
  21. #MakeBirminghamBetter We are fans of of another habitual losing small market team. I wonder if Dodger, Yankee, Braves, Oriolesm fans are into the prospect humping. I guess they trade to bring someone up that is more than ready to play. Trading Robert will continue to create that everlasting hole in CF. The Sox still can't fill 3B. #MakeBirminghamBetter
  22. I could see Vaughn going to another team and getting better. Ever since the TLR era hitting has gotten worse and yet players have yet to overcome it. Good organizations will also send a player down to work on something. He's still a wasted 1st round pick.
